Used to know a boy, he was so shy
Never knew his thoughts, he never knew mine
My troubles disappeared whenever he came close
Was walking on air, my feelings exposed

Ooh, ooh, my life would be a different game
Ooh, ooh, lucky never we became
Ooh, ooh, and now so many years have past
Ooh, ooh, my memory's as clear as glass

I used to be the girl who never had a plan
Was only daydreaming of only one man
Smoking in my room crying over you
Walking on air into the blue

Ooh, ooh, my life would be a different game
Ooh, ooh, so lucky never we became
Ooh, ooh, and now so many years have past
Ooh, ooh, my memory's as clear as glass

    My Interpretation

I think it's pretty obvious man.

"Used to know a boy He was so shy Never knew his thoughts He never knew mine"

in this verse shes just basically describing a shy boy, and as the lyrics progress, we can see she is in love with him.

"My troubles disappeared whenever he came close Was walking on air My feelings exposed"

Whenever he is near, her troubles "disappear". Probably because she is just focused on him because she admires him so much. She forgets about all he problems and troubles and concentrates on her man! "When she says walking on air, my feelings exposed", she is basically telling you she feels like she is floating because she is so in love and happy. "My feelings exposed", pretty obvious. She's completely showing this person who she is because she loves him and wants him to TRULY know her.

"oo oo My life would be a different game oo oo How lucky never we became oo oo And not so many years have passed oo oo My memory's as clear as glass"

This part is a bit less clear then the prior lyrics, but I think when she says. "how lucky never we became" she is telling us that nothing ever really came of it, maybe because he was just too shy. which also leads me to suspect that he is also a very insecure person because she also says, "He never knew his thoughts".

"My life would be a different game" - I think she is saying her life would had been different if she stayed with this guy.

"not so many years have passed, my memory's as clear as glass" pretty obvious. shes recalling this man, though she may think he is a weak, unconfident, insecure little bitch, she still was madly in love with him and doesn't hate him.

"I used to be the girl who never had a plan Was only daydreaming of only one man"

In the above lyric, I think she is describing her opinion on herself when she was younger and pursuing this man. She thinks she was a naive, dumb girl because she was so obsessed with this one man.

"Smoking in the room Crying over you Walking on air into the blue"

In this lyric, either he dumped her, or maybe she dumped him because she felt he wasn't right for her even though he loved him and they had history. Of course she would cry, anyone would. The "smoking in the room" lyric could be a reference to smoking weed or some drug to relieve some pain, which is why she says shes "walking on air, into the blue". The sky is blue and it's also high. it is the sky! And when you smoke, you get high!

I don't know.. just what I think. Thanks for reading my novel. :)

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
