Silence
Is easy
To say this
Is killing me
I'm sorry
You wasted
A thousand tears on me
But something
Was missing
And I'm regretting it tonight
Pushing you away
I know you don't believe me
And I just wanna say
I remember conversations
Before I gave up on me
And if it's any consolation
I remember everything
And you can't take that
No you can't take that away
You were the one who saved me
And you can't take that away
They turned off
The street lights
Before I could say goodbye
Guess I was
A lost cause
You still kept me alive
So if you are listening
I'm regretting it tonight
Maybe it's too late
But if you ever could believe me
I just wanna say
I remember conversation
Before I gave up on me
And if it's any consolation
I remember everything
And you can't take that
No you can't take away
You were the one who saved me
And you can't take that away
I remember conversations
And if it's any consolation
I remember conversations
Before I gave up on me
And if it's any consolation
I remember everything
And you can't take that
No you can't take that
You can't take that
No you can't take that away
You were the one who saved me
And you can't take that away

This song is about a guy who obviously had a previous relationship with a girl.

"Silence is easy; to say this is killing me. I'm sorry you wasted a thousand tears on me." This is his apology, which is really difficult for him, much more difficult than just pretending nothing ever happened and ignoring the past. He probably treated her really badly, hence the "thousand tears."

"But something was missing, and I'm regretting it tonight- pushing you away, I know you don't believe me." He's reflecting on what happened and how he thought something wasn't there and how that ended the relationship, and he feels so much remorse, but he knows the girl probably won't give him another chance because she doesn't trust him anymore.

"I just wanna say: I remember conversations before I gave up on me. And if it's any consolation, I remember everything. And you can't take that, no you can't take that away." This quote probably means that the reason why the relationship didn't work out was because the guy gave up hope on himself and the relationship...he didn't think that it would work out, and so he didn't let it work out. However, he still remembers how things were before that happened. He remembers everything that ever happened, good or bad, regardless of if this girl gives him a second chance. They're his memories, and they're not going anywhere.

"You were the one who saved me, and you can't take that away." The guy was probably going through some personal issues during this relationship, and the girl helped him, she saved him. And he'll never forget that.

"They turned off the streetlights before I could say goodbye." This is probably not supposed to be taken figuratively, instead it most likely means that the girl left before he could explain himself or say everything he wanted to, including a proper goodbye.

"Guess I was a lost cause...you still kept me alive." You can tell that the boy in this relationship didn't believe in himself...at all, and his only reason for not giving up/dying (extreme, I know.) was this girl. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be taken figuratively.

"So if you are listening, I'm regretting it tonight. Maybe it's too late...but if you ever could forgive me, I just wanna say-" He really wants this girl to know that she meant a lot to him, and still does, and he's willing to do anything to get her back.

I love this song, a lot. I'm surprised it barely has any comments. In my opinion, this is the most meaningful song by the Friday Night Boys...and it hits close to home. I guess I had a guy like that...but I also felt how whoever wrote this song felt. I cried the first, second, third, and well, the 20th time I heard this song. It's great <3

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
