Psychic operator
Read my lips
This is the most honest I've ever been
My bones are shivering beneath my skin
Won't you look into your crystal ball
I've got a palm that reads like a novel
I'm not afraid to die
Just don't turn the lights off

I should have known that it would come to this
I do all the wrong things for the wrong reasons
Give me another chance I'll do them again all over

This is murder
Bloody murder
This is murder
Bloody murder

So psychic operator
Come on over
My body temperature is growing colder
I need a favor
If it isn't much skin off your shoulders

I need a girl
I need a true romance
A rain of bullets just to get me to dance
A pair of scissors
To cut the pants right off me

This is murder
Bloody murder
This is murder
Bloody murder

If this is murder, why am I not dying?

Long, long live forever!
Long, long live forever!
Long, long live forever!
Long, long live forever!
Long, long live forever!
Long, long live forever!
Long live forever, eternally

Long, long live forever!
Long, long live forever!
Long live forever, eternally

Long, long live forever!
Long, long live forever!
Long live forever, eternally

Long, long live forever!
Long, long live forever!
Long live forever, eternally

My Interpretationthe active lines are specific enough to convince me that the song is more literal than existential or philosophical in nature. i think this song was written about someone, sung in the first person, a passive voice for a person whom the author believes is in state of turmoil, without hope for a better day. murder here, specifically, is a synonym for ostracization without removal from society. after all, with a highly socialized species, like humans, the best way to cause the most pain is to take away all legitimate contact with other members of the species. this will drive anyone insane.
