tonight i'll call you and let it ring all night
but you won't answer cus you don't wanna fight
you told me together until the very end
but you didn't mean it cus now you're all over him
you said baby don't worry you mean more than the world
i guess the world is worthless cus i don't mean a thing to her
she had it her way everything seemed alright
but i'm alone now and it's like i wont survive.

you were my everything but now i'm older and i'm stronger
and how much longer till he finds a girl that's hotter does
he really mean it when he tells you that he loves you
does he really mean it when he tells you that he loves

you were my everything but now i'm older and i'm wiser
and he's looking for another girl and soon he's gonna find her
leave him he's already starting to ignore you
there is a better guy and he wrote this song for

you were my everything but now i'm older and i'm stronger
and how much longer till he finds a girl that's hotter does
he really mean it when he tells you that he loves you
does he really mean it when he tells you that he loves

you were my everything but now i'm older and i'm wiser
and he's looking for another girl and soon he's gonna find her
leave him he's already starting to ignore you
there is a better guy and he wrote this song for

    My Interpretation

masterjj16 you have it somewhat down to what this song means but theres a little more to it and mix up between you and wat the song is meaning.

this song means in my opinion,

its about a boy who is in love with a girl and was in a serious relationship and they had a lot going, most likely they were going out for a really long time, "you told me together until the very end",they most likely had a fight or something bad happened and the girl had dropped everything they had even though they are both always going to love and have so many memories of eachother. the girl ends up "finding the guy she thinks is perfect" but its only to make herself feel better about whats happening. the new guy she is with only likes her because of what she looks like and not for who she is unlike the boy that she was in love with. the boy she was in love with has so many memories and wishes none of its going on, and he doesnt wanna deal with it so he wants out of life basically.. "but i'm alone now and it's like i wont survive.".... the boy who wants to still be with her because he loves her wants her to know that the new guy is looking for someone else and hes just using her "finds a girl that's hotter does" and the fact that the new guy is lying when he says he loves her cuz he doesnt. which is why hes telling her to live him cuz that new guy is nothing but trouble and she should stay with the one thats been there for her through everything and actually loves her "leave him he's already starting to ignore you there is a better guy and he wrote this song for" the guy who wrote the song for her is the one whose been there and loves her.

that somewhat sums it all up and if you wanted you could switch it around and it could be about a girl that is trying to help the one she loves and misses him and loves him. like this : "leave her she's already starting to ignore you there is a better girl and she wrote this song for you". thats what im dealing with somewhat now in a way, except were gunna be back together soon he just needs time to gain trust back.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
