The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
cabeza negra, cabeza negra. (x4)
eso es imposible.
cabeza negra, cabeza negra. (x2)
¿te echo producto?
ponte un pañuelo
ponte un pañuelo o un gorro.
no estoy diciendo
no estoy diciendo que tengas la cara fea.
tienes una cara.
me lo corto yo.
me lo cortas tú. (x4)
¡déjamelo como kate moss!
¡déjamelo como brooke shields! (x2)
¿qué hago con mi pelo?
hago lo que quiero
hago lo que quiero con mi pelo.
me lo dejo largo
me lo dejo largo y me lo corto luego.
me lo aliso
me lo aliso y me lo arrizo
me lo aliso me lo arrizo y me lo emplancho
me lo aliso me lo arrizo me lo emplancho y me lo abrazo.
te lo cambio.
la luna está creciendo.
¡déjamelo como kate moss!
¡déjamelo como brooke shields! (x6)
¡déjamelo como grace jones!
la luna está creciendo.
¡déjamelo como kate moss!
¡déjamelo como brooke shields!
¿por qué?
¿por el pelo?
¿que me cortes la cabeza? (x3)
la luna está creciendo.
