You warned me that you were gonna leave (leave)
Never thought you would really go (go)
I was blind but baby now I see (see)
Broke your heart but now I know (now I know)

That I was being such a fool (ooh)
And I didn't deserve you (ooh)

I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I don't know if I'll get up
And I don't wanna cause a scene
But I'm dyin' without your love
Begging to hear your voice
Tell me you love me too
'Cause I'd rather just be alone
If I know that I can't have you

Looking at the letter you that you left
(The letter that you left, will I ever get you back?)
Wondering if I'll ever get you back
Dreaming about when I'll see you next
(When will I see you next? Will I ever get you back?)
Knowing that I never will forget
(I won't forget, I won't forget)

That I was being such a fool (ooh)
Now I still don't deserve you (ooh)

I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I don't know if I'll get up
And I don't wanna cause a scene
'Cause I'm dyin' without your love, yeah
Begging to hear your voice
Tell me you love me too
'Cause I'd rather just be alone
If I know that I can't have you

So tell me what we're fighting for
'Cause you know that truth means so much more
'Cause you would if you could, don't lie (don't lie)
'Cause I give everything that I've got left
To show you I mean what I have said
I know I was such a fool
But I can't live without you (without you)

I don't wanna fall asleep
Don't know if I'll get up
I don't wanna cause a scene
But I'm dyin' without your love
Begging to hear your voice
Tell me you love me too
'Cause I'd rather just be alone
If I know that I can't have you

Yeah

Don't wanna fall asleep (don't wanna fall asleep)
'Cause I don't know if I'll get up (who knows if I get up)
I don't wanna cause a scene
'Cause I'm dyin' without your love
Yeah
Begging to hear your voice (let me hear your voice)
Tell me you love me too (tell me you love me too)
'Cause I'd rather just be alone
If I know that I can't have you

wow this is so great. this is one of the first times when you actually here that nick means what he's singing when he sings it.

"i don't want to fall asleep, cuz i don't know if i'll get up"

wow those are some deep lines.

Wow this definitely shows how much more mature and grown up they have gotten. There are a few lines that just like, made me go, "Wow," and I could just sit there. I never really knew they could be so deep (ha-ha) but I mean like this is one of the best on the album.

That I was being such a fool That I didn't deserve you

I don't wanna fall asleep 'Cause I don't know if I'll get up And I don't wanna cause a scene But I'm dying without your love

'Cause we know that the truth Means so much more

To show you I mean what I have said I know I was such a fool But I can't live without you

this is one of the jonas brother's truly heartfelt and serious songs I admire them for their lyrical abilities yet a lot of their songs can be a bit low key and not so serious

out of "A little bit longer" this is probably one of the best songs

It basically discusses their feelings about a girl who they're truly in love with you never really know if you'll be here tomorrow, so they're scared to fall asleep because they may never see her again They apologize for acting like they don't care, because deep inside, they can't live without her

This is actually my most favorite Jonas Brothers song. I don't know if anybody else notices this, but in the second verse when Nick sings back-up, it sounds like R&B.

It's inspirational and a truely awesome song. :D

I honestly think it's absolute genius where they say,

"I don't wanna make a scene. But, I'm dying with out your love."

I just think that line is so deep. It's kind of difficult for me to explain where i'm coming from, because I know the line before it seems much deeper, but let's put it this way...

We all know it's a big deal if someone were literally dying, so when he says, "I don't want to make a scene." I think it means that he doesn't want the person to see him in this situation/he doesn't want to burden him.

So, I actually think it has a much deeper meaning than what I just said, and there's something else to it, but it's kind of hard for me to explain.

    :]

Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
