It's just another day and it feels like you're still running late
'Cause the times are gonna change and you're stuck in your old mentality
You can try to lead us on but there's no one else to blame
Won't be left to clean the mess when you're gone

We're running out of time
We're running out of time and you just don't get it
Now you're watching people die and you still don't care
We're running out of time and you just don't get that this is how I feel
There's a million things I hate about you

It's just another battle when you exercise your authority
When the dust is finally settled will you catch up with reality?
We've been waiting way too long, now it's time for us to play
And we won't be looking back when you're gone

We're running out of time
We're running out of time and you just don't get it
Now you're watching people die and you still don't care
We're running out of time and you just don't get that this is how I feel
There's a million things I hate about you, about you, about you, about you

I don't wanna hear the same excuses
I don't wanna hear the same excuses
I don't wanna hear your story

We're running out of time and you just don't get it
You're watching people die and you still don't care
We're running out of time and you just don't get it
If everybody dies, well you still don't care

We're running out of time and you just don't get it
Now you're watching people die and you still don't care
We're running out of time and you don't get that this is how I feel
I don't wanna think about, this is how I feel
There's a million things I hate about you
There's a million things I hate about you

Definitely sounds like political figures, they'll send in other people to kill others, but will never get personal and send in someone they love or whatever, therefore they don't care a lot about what happens, and who dies.

(It's just another battle When you exercise your authority When the dust is finally settled Will you catch up with reality?)

also most of the song "Running out of time, you're watching people die and you still don't care, etc.)

    Also

But there's no one else to blame We'll be left to clean the mess When you're gone (Running out of time)

About when they leave the office/someone else gets elected we're still stuck with their mess.

Could be an anti-Bush song, however it fits just about any Political figure from any country you can name.

This song is very catchy, but I like to believe it's not an anti-Bush song. Because I'm a Bush supporter. And if it was, I'd probably get sad and lose some respect for Simple Plan, which I don't want to do because I love them so.

But this song is very very catchy. It reminds me of their first cd.

    I think it is an anti-bush song.\

"the times are gonna change" refers to the fact that his term is about to be over

"We'll be left to clean the mess When you're gone"

Bush started wars and screwed many things up so after he leave, we have to clear up what he has done.

"Running out of time And you just don't get it Now you're watching people die And you still don't care"

Bush started two wars during his term, and obviously people are going to die.But i doubt he give a damn about those soldiers

Maybe stupid, but parents? "Watching people die". Your kids, and dying in the meaning of figuratively, suffocating them, not giving them a chance to live the life the way THEY want to... And not according to traditions (old mentality)wile nog getting the new ideas. Not understanding and even more important, not willing to understand. Fighting with the white flag, saying you care and you love, but refusing to listen. And when the teenager gets mad, the parent will say that it's his/her fault and that they didn't want a fight in the first place. Like it usually goes. Written in the anger of a teenage kid towards his/her parents, I can totally relate!!!

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
