Courtney Jaye/Kristen Hall/Garrison Starr

i wish you would stay a while
blue eyes
how can i change your mind?
daylight
isn't the finish line
isn't an exit sign
this could be a long road
i've been in this bed before
waiting
your already out the door
save me
why do you have to run?
honey it's only love

it can be a sweet ride
it can be a long drop
it can take a wrong turn right to a dead end
it can make your heart stop
it can lead nowhere
you wont know unless you go there
it can be one more goodbye
or it can be a sweet ride

it hasn't been paradise
lately
your looking at me like i'm
crazy
there's nothing to lose at all
i already took the fall

it can be a sweet ride
it can be a long drop
it can take a wrong turn right to a dead end
it can make your heart stop
it can lead nowhere
you wont know unless you go there
it can be one more goodbye
or it can be a sweet ride

i don't know the future holds
but i'm taking you with me

it can be a sweet ride
it can be a long drop
it can take a wrong turn right to a dead end
it can make your heart stop
it can lead nowhere
you wont know unless you go there
it can be one more goodbye
or it can be a sweet ride

I can't believe no one's commented on this song yet!!!! this is an AMAZING song! It makes me feel so serene lol i basically think it's about taking a chance (maybe in a relationship...maybe in life) and just kind of rolling with it - riding it out lol and it can be a sweet ride ... the lyrics are really quite deep and applicable to everyday life :-)

The song is more than what you've inferred. The song is about a casual sexual relationship in which the female is left wanting more than the male is offering. "Daylight isnt the finish line, isnt an exit sign" means hey, just because its morning and we're done having sex doesnt mean you have to go". She wants to share more and be more to him than just a booty call. And he's probably all jaded by some dumb girl who screwed him over.

I fell in love with this song while at work. It was one of those songs that plays over and over, I typically hear it twice a shift (depends on the length obviously). I think miriam22 has hit the head on the nail, but at the same time I like to relate songs to my life. My boyfriend of two and a half years is leaving for the Army in May and when we spend time together and he goes home, I say to him (in my head) "I wish you would stay long". Since he told me last summer that he wanted to go into the service, I have mentally fought to be okay with it. Well, it can be a "sweet ride" if we make it so. And I really love at the end when Jaye says "I don't know what the future holds, but I'm taking you with me." In my heart, its saying, I'm not sure where we're going, but we'll be together either way.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
