You always said be careful what you might wish for
You always said karma could cut both ways
I never see you anymore
I should have thought before I drove you away
Before I drove you away

I didn't see how much you did
I didn't see until you were gone, `til you were gone

You always said good things don't last forever
Well it's a good thing you never thought much
of me
And do you think of me still, please still I never see you anymore
I should have though before I through it all away
(Where are you now, where are you now)
I through it all away

I didn't see how much you did
I didn't see until you were gone, `til you were gone
I didn't see how much you did
I didn't see until you were gone, `til you were gone

I didn't see how much you did
I didn't see until you were gone, `til you were gone
I didn't see how much you did
I didn't see until you were gone, `til you were gone
`til you were gone, `til you were gone, `til you were gone
`til you were gone, `til you were gone, `til you were gone

General CommentI'm pretty sure it's "I should have Thought Before I drove you away" and "karma could CUT both ways".

General Commentokay i think this song is about Fred leaving TBS.....haha just kidding! i think everyone will be saying that about every song Fred ever writes now lol..

this isnt too cryptic. we all have a friend or lover or whatever we always take for granted without realizing it until its too late. this is kind of an emo song all grown up ha! oh and yeah i agree, the solo is very VanHalen-esque! i think Fred gets overlooked as a prog.rock guitarist!
