Brother and sister together we'll make it through.
Ohh.
Someday your spirit will take you and guide you there.
I know you've been hurting,
And I've been waiting to be there for you,
And I'll be there just helping you out,
Whenever I can.
(Everybody's) Everybody's free, Oh, yeah.

Listen,
This one's for all the one's showing love,
It's appriciated, Life's crazy man.
Listen to the lyrics.

Stay with me,
Don't fall asleep to soon,
The angels who wait for the moment.
(They can wait for a moment)
Stay with me,
Don't fall asleep to soon,
(I won't)
The angels who wait for the moment.

Now listen to the words,
Look, Don't cry for me when I'm gone,
No point in wasting tears,
Our time will come one day,
I'm just confronting my fears,
Though it's not really a fear,
It's more like a destiny,
Sometimes, I sit and wonder, Is this life really for me?
'Cos I'm seeing, seeing hurt, felt and done,
I hope your proud of where I've come,
You see me girl, And help me through,
And there is no repaying you,
I'm here and I feel like I'm delaying you,
Betraying you,
When I'm gone, I hope that someone's saving you.

Stay with me,
(I'm gonna stay listen)
Don't fall asleep to soon,
(I'm gonna try not to)
The angels who wait for the moment.
(They can wait man, I swear)
Stay with me,
Don't fall asleep to soon,
(I'm gonna hold on)
The angels who wait for the moment.

I wanna see your face every time I come home,
'Cos I can't leave you like this, In this cold, hardened home.
But, In this life we're living, Who knows when I'll be gone?
I don't wanna leave you with what is held in for long.
To the world,
It's too much to prove,
But sometimes I wonder what I've really got to loose,
And then I really see,
It's not all about me,
I wanna shield you from this harsh, mad reality.
It's real look.

Stay with me,
(Life's risky sometimes)
Don't fall asleep to soon,
(But really you gotta take chances)
The angels who wait for the moment.
(It's crazy look)
Stay with me,
Don't fall asleep to soon,
The angels who wait for the moment.
(Listen to the words, To the world)

Life's a game, And you need to play it correct,
Do the right moves, And don't get caught up in loads of mess,
Be calm, Don't be stressed, Be sure to pass the test,
Stand your ground, And don't let others put you to the test. x2

Stay with me,
Don't fall asleep to soon,
The angels who wait for the moment.
Stay with me,
Don't fall asleep to soon,
The angels who wait for the moment.
Stay with me,
Don't fall asleep to soon,
The angels who wait for the moment.

    Song Meaning

this song is definatley about a loved one passing, the lyrics mean so much to me, my friends dad passed recently, and she told me she feels safe when she listens to this song. I listen to this when i think of my grandpa who died at the beginning of this year. This song is so powerful; It brought me to tears, literally. I think its because its so truthful, and really captures a real life scenario, because everyone wishes they could have extra time with a certain loved one. I think this is incredible& is so meaningful. Mis you grandpa hope you're proud of me- 28/02/14 <3

at first i thought this was a love song.. but when you look closer at the lyrics.. its about someone close to them dying..

"Stay with me, Don't fall asleep to soon, The angels who wait for the moment"

reminds me of the hear you me lyrics.. (a heart so big god wouldnt let it live)

they dont want 2 let know, but know they need to.

thats what i think anyway =]

the female vocals in this song are beautiful. the song is so sobviously about love in relation to losing someone to a terminal illness, possibly someone quite young. its so sad. however, it also strikes me as a bit weird becasue ironiks vocals just dont seem to fit. mind you, im basing this opinion on the live lounge version. listenig to the origional, it does work. no doubt its a great song straight from the heart...

    My Opinion

I think the song means something about a parent passing , or going to . because the beginning is "Brother and Sister together we'll make it through " ... my mom just passed away 5 days ago .. today was the funeral . The other day my friend told me listen to this song, she listened to it when her t mom died , and it made her feel better. Told me to listen to it .. It doesn't make me feel better but i'm in complete love with it .

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
