This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
We make the sun shine, we make
A morning
Move with me, move with me
Move with me, move with me
Don't you think I could tell
That you were trying to, trying to
Make a fool out of me, a fool out of me
Don't you think I could tell
That you were trying to, trying to
Make a fool out of me, a fool out of me
To remember who you really are
It's so easy to get lost in constantly
Having to preserve whatever face you believe
A person wants to see, rather than your own
Yet we hesitate to surrender all of our insecurities
Move with me, move with me
Only the ones we are most comfortable relinquishing
Move with me, move with me
Don't you think I could tell
That you were trying to, trying to
Make a fool out of me, a fool out of me (move with me)
Don't you think I could tell (ahh)
That you were trying to, trying to
Make a fool out of me, a fool out of me (move with me, move with me)
Such a paradox, isn't it, isn't it?
Such a paradox, isn't it, isn't it?
Such a paradox, isn't it, isn't it?
Such a paradox, isn't it, isn't it?
Such a paradox, isn't it, isn't it?
Such a paradox, isn't it, isn't it?
Isn't it, isn't it? Isn't it, isn't it?
A morning
Move with me, move with me
Move with me, move with me
Don't you think I could tell
That you were trying to, trying to
Make a fool out of me, a fool out of me
Don't you think I could tell
That you were trying to, trying to
Make a fool out of me, a fool out of me

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
i think this song, for one, is amazing. this entire CD is beautiful and completely genious. a little more dance-able than previous ones?
i think this song is about a relationship where a guy knows he's being played and just acts stupid about it. also, i think it's saying that you can make yourself believe whatever you want about a person. like, if you build them up in your mind how you want them to be, you'll believe it if you want to. he's not being true to himself because he's putting up a front of "not knowing" what's really going on.
does anyone have any comments about what the paradox of the song is?<br /> my idea is that people try to act like someone they arn't to impress someone, but at the same time, everyone is trying to act like someone they arn't.. so why can't we just all be ourselves? that reminds me of his tatoo, "all the worlds a stage"<br /> <br /> idea #2: its a paradox that the girl he thought loved him is now trying to make a fool out of him.<br /> <br /> any of this making sense?
