He just threw out all of his old clothes
And all the music that he owns
It's time for his yearly change of style

She speaks with a British accent
The keyboard is her favourite instrument
Oh-oh

[Chorus]
The drinks are cheap and vinyl's cool
What do you think of my new shoes?
You know me and I know you
Yeah we do
Yeah we do

She used to love Reel Big Fish,
Then she decided she loved the Smiths
So she downloaded all their greatest hits

He is learning the tambourine
He tells his band that's what they're missing
Oh oh

[Chorus: x2]

Yeah we do, yeah we do

They both go to all of the same clubs
Where everyone takes all the same drugs
And talks about how they're 'so fucked up'

They try to get up and dance
But they're all wearing spray on pants
It was a sight to be seen
I wonder who they'll be next week

[Chorus: x2]

Clearly, this song is about following trends and how lame it is.

They've got better songs, I don't know why they'd release this one as their second single.

I think this song's catchy, and it's sort of got a more fun melody. I don't know. It's just sort of lighter, even though the lyrics aren't rly. I love it.

even though these lyrics aren't very advanced or complicated, they tell a good story which is very expressant (is that a word? =P) of today's teenage society.

i agree with mattisyourhero, this isnt their best song. but i can understand why they released it, very catchy, its going to pull a different group of fans. good on the boys for expanding their base. as for the lyrics, so obivious, no explanation needed

The lyrics are easily understood. As for the song not being their best... It is absolutely incredible to hear live. Draws up a different vibe from the crowd, i noticed. And definitely not in a bad way. Like nicolezoe mentioned, they're expanding their base.

I love Kisschasy! They make me feel proud to be Australian! I love his accent. I love that he's kept the Aussie-ness in it. I love that they're so loyal. And I love how he says "and talks about how they're so fucked up"... Very cute story and cool film clip too. I really wanna see them live. But I was coming home from Sydney when on the radio they said they were in Newcastle the following weekend and I'd already been to the Killers... And I'd travelled SO FAR to get to Sydney... But next time Kisschasy tour in Oz, I'll have to see them! They're so cute and funny and just so, so, SO ADORABLE!

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
