I know where I'm supposed to be beside you now but they won't let me. They're taking you away. So here I'll lay. eventually I'll waste away and they'll come get me. To place me next to you, right next to you.

Beautiful, letting go of all you've held onto, why can't I, why can't I. Beautiful, letting go of all you know is true, why can't I let you go?

And on and on and what the hell I see no good to be angry with myself. I'll toss and turn tonight. when did I get so uncivilized? I could not awake from sleeping. I could do just fine for most of the time 'til I see my own reflection. so tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies. I cannot continue sleeping. I can fool myself for most of the time 'til I see my own reflection 'cause that reminds me of you.

Beautiful, letting go of all you've held onto, why can't I, why can't I. Beautiful, letting go of all you know is true, why can't I let you go?

And what else could have happened? oh my dear, all my life without you. and what else could have happened? so come away, come away with me love. and I'll find the place you keep your favorite things. I'll try to make you fall in love by association. And now I know in my heart I've never lost a thing 'til I lost you, my love, my love.

Beautiful, letting go of all you've held onto. why can't I, why can't I. Beautiful, letting go of all you know is true, why can't I let you go?

I've no negrets of yesterday, though these tears are falling. I will look to you, I will still remember (God help me now). This will ligher on, your memore deeper than the oceans.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
