Well I was lonely in spring for this kind of thing
She's shivering alone
I bumped into you somehow
You can wear

My duct-taped vest was my party best
But it’s really all I own
Everything's changing now
And there’s all these winter stars still flying
Cassiopeia
Everything's changing now

She said it’s alright
It's just a bonfire

Lightning comes and lightning goes
And it’s all the same to me
Let it in
‘Cause i want you so
I can hardly breathe and release
Into a thousand pieces
I have broke into
Over you
Kill the flames at dawn,
I keep burning on and on

And I check myself
‘Cause there’s no one else
It’s just us hanging out
Everything's changing now

Maybe we could live like kings
We could take a risk
We could live in doubt
Everything's changing now

And the lightning comes and lightning goes
And it’s all the same to me
Let it in
‘Cause i want you so
I can hardly breathe and release
Into a thousand pieces
I have broke into
Over you
Kill the flames at dawn,
I keep burning on and on

This, this is, this is the last time, its the last time
This, this is, this is your goodbye
This, this is, this is the last time, its the last time
This, this is, this is your goodbye!

Some girls break you down
Just to see you come undone
Everything's changing now

Maybe you and I are cursed
Maybe you and I are one
Thats the universe
Around, around

And lightning comes and lightning goes
And it’s all the same to me
Let it in
‘Cause I want you so
I can hardly breathe and release
Into a thousand pieces
I have broke into
Over you
Kill the flames at dawn,
But I keep burning on and on and on

It’s what you always wanted
It’s what you always wanted
It’s what you always wanted

Cassiopeia: the wife of Cepheus, the King of Ethiopia (the Phoenician kingdom, not the modern country), was beautiful, arrogant, and vain, and these latter two characteristics led to her downfall. The boast of Cassiopeia was that both she and her daughter Andromeda were more beautiful than all the Nereids, the sea nymphs, daughters of Nereus, the sea god. This brought the wrath of Poseidon, ruling god of the sea, upon the kingdom of Ethiopia (differing accounts state that either Cetus, the sea monster, on Poseidon's instructions, was to destroy the land, or that the whole country was to be flooded). Trying to avert such a fate, Cepheus and Cassiopeia consulted a wise oracle, who told them that the only way to appease the sea gods was to sacrifice their daughter. Accordingly, Andromeda was chained to a rock at the sea's edge, and left there to helplessly await her fate at the mercy of the sea monster. But Perseus arrived in time and saved Andromeda. Poseidon considered that Cassiopeia should not escape punishment entirely, and placed her in the heavens in such a position that as she circles the celestial pole she is upside-down for half the time.

I saw Third Eye Blond a day and a half ago live... they played this song... and I can not wait until their 4th album comes out... this song, I can see it emerging as a wonderful little 'deep inside of you' or 'i want you'. It's beauuutiful.

"Lightning comes and lightning goes And it’s all the same to me Let it in ‘Cause i want you so I can hardly breathe, and release Into a thousand pieces I have broke into Over you Snuff the flames at dawn, I keep burning on and on"

That really does evoke the image of a campfire, or a bonfire of sorts. Oddly enough, apparently, Campfire was not the song's original title.

LOVE this song live...I've seen it twice, its pretty catchy. LOVE the whistle, love the mythology reference.

When I saw them at a show I got to go to a press conference stephan was having. He was talking about music that had influenced him and he pointed out how much he had listened to hip hop and how he liked the idea of a beat being able to fit a lot into a short sentence. For all you true 3eb fans, stop and think about how many songs are like that.

I think this particular song is kind of made to be catchy, they will prob release it as a single. To be honest I think its a little immature to be singing...it sounds like a senior year of hs song. But I still love it! And I can't wait for the new stuff...but perfect it first boys, no rush.

Definitely see them live if you get the chance...they are awesome in concert and cool to meet!

I'm in love with this song. I have a live version and Stephan starts our saying "This is a song Tony wrote".

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
