You sit so still unmoving
Stealing it
Begging to stay
It drips on my skins surface
Drowning me towards the problem

Smiles and pretenses - bring them all to watch the scandals tightening
Smiles and pretenses - with their frozen eyes my knuckles whitening

Trust!
That it's all a distraction!
Trust!
That your fucking...nothing!

Fighting the urge to hold my breath - like a locust scraping dig in the trees
I can hear the gun-shots in the background - suffocation breathes the words of these shadows

Smiles and pretenses - bring them all to see where this force I brought them
Smiles and pretenses - we're not any of it we have all forgotten

Trust!
That it's all a distraction!
Trust!
That your fucking...NOTHING!!!!!

You sit so still unmoving
Stealing it
Begging to stay
It drips on my skins surface
Drowning me
Towards the problem

Trust!
That it's all a distraction!
Trust!
So you remain in line
Open!
Up!
Your!
Blessed wings!
Wrap them all around all of your...things!!
Keep yourself in the company of...kings!!
It's their hands that bleed from the....strings!!

    My Interpretation

to me, this song is about religion, in a bad way. You wouldn't expect an anti-american band to be religious, would you?

You sit so still unmoving (the "have faith" excuse)

Smiles and pretenses (the face the clergymen put on to hide themselves) bring them all to watch the scandals tightening (scandals being corruption of the church)

Trust! That it's all a distraction! ("trust us, it's to test your faith") Trust! That your fucking...nothing! (the response given to those of a different belief; They're nothing because they OBVIOUSLY don't have their theology straight)

like a locust scraping dig in the trees (All I could get out of this was that locust are involved) I can hear the gun-shots in the background (You can see the corruption that they try to cover up) suffocation breathes the words of these shadows (an oxymoron saying that silencing opposition speaks more than they would like about them)

Trust! So you remain in line (a bit self explanitory)

Open Up Your Blessed wings! Wrap them all around all of your...things!! Keep yourself in the company of...kings!! It's their hands that bleed from the....strings!! (greedy, controlled)

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
Led Zeppelin
This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
