How fast can you have your bags packed?
I'm ready to blow this town.

And this feeling is getting too hard to explain. It seems like months since you and I have been away from each other's arms and it's only been days. And I count down second til you plan to save me, from this feeling I feel. It certainly made me, you know it certainly made me too upset to describe how when I close my eyes, you're sitting right beside me on this bed here tonight.

And all I have to say is, how fast can you have your bags packed? I'm ready to blow this town. Your friendships, well that's important. I'm ready to be let down. Well one thing between road signs and street lights, is where I shut my eyes to the world outside; Just another thought of you and I.

I'm so mad that I never got to say goodbye. And all I can do, is sit here and wonder why. Why you were taken from my life. But as I count down, seconds til I see you again. I've got our memories in my head. And I just can't seem to understand; How when I looked into your eyes, I could always realize that you and I could of be together for all time.

You know I have to say, How fast can you have your bags packed? I'm ready to blow this town. Your friendships, well that's important. I'm ready to be let down. Well one thing between road signs and street lights, is where I shut my eyes to the world outside; Just another thought of you and I.

Last night I had this dream, it was the most amazing thing cause there we were standing side by side despite the past twelve months. It could all be wishful thinking, but you know I prayed to God "I wanna live forever in this moment, and never have to wake up."

How fast can you have your bags packed? I'm ready to blow this town. Your friendships, well that's important. I'm ready to be let down. Well one thing between road signs and street lights, is where I shut my eyes to the world outside; Just another thought of you and I.

Does anyone know if this song was written before or after Dana's death?

Because it sounds a lot like it's about her. "I'm so mad that I never got to say goodbye. And all I can do is sit here and wonder why you were taken from my life." And especially the verse starting with "Last night I had this dream.."

I love this though. :] Shane's voice is amazing. Some of the lyrics sound wrong though, but that's probably because I'm listening to a live version.

    Amazing song though.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
