The phone called ended in such a way
That i wasn't sure just what to say
Who to call, how to feel,
And won't someone tell me is this even real, oh
I'm such a mess
I'm such a reck, oh
I'm such a mess

Is there some extra space,
On your floor
Next to your bed
And if you let me stay so
I'll be there
Cause in the night time when your sleeping
I'll be there to say
That i loved you and i left you anyway

Is there some extra space,
On your floor
Next to your bed
And if you let me stay so
I'll be there
Cause in the night time when your sleeping
I'll be there to say
That i loved you, I left you anyway

I was lost as a latchkey child
And I saw more than I could handle
Left alone
In the lonely isle
Left to stare into you

The phone called ended with drop me a line
I though about it long, and hard.
Don't play me for the fool
Even though i'm just the fool for you
I'll turn into a mess
And and and when the snow comes down
And covers up the ground
To see you for what you really are

Play me for the fool
Even though i'm just the fool for you
I'll turn into a mess

And when the snow comes down
And covers up the ground
To see you for what you really are

The phone called ended in such a way
That I wasn't sure just what to say
Who to call, how to feel,
Won't someone tell me is this even real, oh
I'm such a mess
I'm such a reck, oh
I'm such a mess

I think it's about him leaving a girl he loved because he saw a side of her that could hurt him. But it seems he's hurt anyway for ending it.

you can't really say you love his voice because in all of his songs it's altered to give it that techno-y sound..

i think his ending his relationship becuz he saw more to her that he didn't think he could handle he started to noticed who she really is but at the end his realizing without her he is a mess and that he miss her and nothing seems real without her he cant really admit that he let her go

this song sort of bothers me because my exbf put it on his page, and we never talked about our breakup.

and i agree with petbreak and JENNNNNerz123. but i'm afraid it's applying to me! :/ and i really like him back then so yeah...:/

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
