damn, I know I shouldn't have told her
Alright, listen

I thought about sittin' back
Straight denying itBut I knew that you deserve more
So I faced the music
You left in a fit
I'm wonderin' what I told the truth for
Now you're flauntin' him at our favorite joint
Knowing that it would get back to me
Girl enough already
You already made your point
Why can't you accept I'm sorry

Now you're takin' every chance
To throw in my face
Just to show me now that I lost it
I know hurt you bad
But what you're doing nows no different
Cause you don't really love him

Now I've got nothin' left
You never learned to forgive and forget
You're rippin' my heart out of my chest
Whoever said truth is always best
Didn't know nothin, didn't know nothin nothin

Shoulda kept my mouth shut
Coulda kept my mouth shut
Shoulda kept my mouth shut

Now you don't wanna leave
But maybe you should
Even though I know you love me
You just got to get even
Wish I'd never seen this side of you because it's ugly
I told you I messed up
Like a man I 'fessed up
Coulda been civil this is me here
Instead you punished me
And when you're satisfied
By that time I might not be here

Okay you've won
You've torn me down
But don't think that you're above me
Cause girl you're playin' yourself now
Cause I know that you still love me
But you're killin' it, you're killin' it

Now I've got nothin' left
You never learned to forgive and forget
You're rippin' my heart out of my chest
Whoever said truth is always best
Didn't know nothin, didn't know nothin nothin

Remember all the plans that we made
Like taking a trip in the summer time to Spain
Forget all about the evil things we say
And remember that time we made love, in the park, in the rain
I can't look deep into the future
And predict how it's all gonna be
But I want this to work
And I know you're still hurt
But you're killin' me, you're killin' me

Now I've got nothin' left
You never learned to forgive and forget
You're rippin' my heart out of my chest
Whoever said truth is always best
Didn't know nothin, didn't know nothin nothin

Now I've got nothin' left
You never learned to forgive and forget
You're rippin' my heart out of my chest
Whoever said truth is always best
Didn't know nothin, didn't know nothin nothin

Cause now I know what I shoulda done
Shoulda kept my mouth shut
Cause then we wouldn't be here
Shoulda kept my mouth shut
But I didn't...

This song means a lot to me because I'm madly in love with Drew Seeley, and I can relate to some of the lyrics.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
