One day i was sleeping and i was taken high
Through the veil of darkness that is stretched across the sky
And though i could see nothing i heard a voice say this:
"Interflight coordinates for Heliopolis"

Beautiful unusual sight
Helioplis by night
Bathed in gold and shimering light
Helioplis by night

Sent me for the first time to the place they call their home
Words could not describe to you the things that i was shown
And though i was so far away not one thing did i miss
Safe among my friends in golden Heliopolis

(Danced all night)

Beautiful unusual sight
Helioplis by night
Bathed in gold and shimering light
Helioplis by night

Beautiful unusual sight
Helioplis by night
Everything will be alright
Helioplis by night

And the reason why they took me is something i never learnt
My body lay there sleeping when i finally returned
And the lover who i left behind woke me with a kiss
And asked where i had been; i answered "Heliopolis."

For me there are two interpritations of this song.

One. The literal reading of the song; he was abducted by friendly aliens.

Two. 'Heliopolis' is a... dream world (for want of a better term). In dreams everything can be as wonderful as he describes Heliopolis to be.

It is called "Heliopolis By Night", not "Helioplis". You managed to spell it correctly half the time in the lyrics, but people searching for this song won't be able to find it here.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
