It's only been a day
But it's like I can't go on
I just wanna say
I never meant to do you wrong

And I remember you told me, baby
Something's gotta give
If I can't be the one to hold you, baby, I
Don't think I could live

Now I'm so sick of being lonely
This is killing me so slowly
Don't pretend that you don't know me
'Cause that's the worse thing you could do

Now I'm singing such a sad song
These things never seem to last long
Something that I never planned on
Help me, baby, I'm so sick of being lonely

Your stuff is in my house
So many things I can't ignore
Your coat's still on the couch
Your photo's on my freezer door

And I remember you told me, baby
Something's gotta give
If I can't be the one to hold you, baby, I
Don't think I could live

Now I'm so sick of being lonely
This is killing me so slowly
Don't pretend that you don't know me
That's the worst thing you could do

Now I'm singing such a sad song
These things never seem to last long
Something that I never planned on
Help me, baby, I'm so sick of being lonely

Lalalalala. Lalalalala. Lalalalala.

I am so lonely
Whawhawhawhawha
Whawhawhawhawha

And I remember you told me, baby
Something's gotta give
If I can't be the one to hold you, baby, I don't think I could live

Now I'm so sick of being lonely
This is killing me so slowly
Don't pretend that you don't know me
That's the worst thing you could do

Now I'm singing such a sad song
These things never seem to last long
Something that I never planned on
Help me, baby, I'm so sick of being lonely

I am so lonely
I am so lonely

I love the way they sing "I am so lonley" I think they've all become better singers. And they sorta show it off on this album. Theres like always high notes in every song. Loll. I like it, sounds good. :)

I like the way the song sounds, but lyrically it’s such a winy song. Its only been a day then wait and see watch tomorrow brings I say

The intro is Obviously slowed down a bit :) Just had to point that out, did anyone else notice? Can't tell if the rest of the music is the same though. Still like the song. :)

This song is written about Danny's ex - they had moved in together but could hardly spend time together cos he was away a lot with the band, and it was how he summed up his feelings for her...I know this because the girl it was written about is now my fiance :) who is close friends with the band

Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
