You gotta lively it up, when the speaker it speak
I said Northern State will help you end your week
It’s only one, it’s only two, it’s only three, it’s only four
We gonna take it to the street, we gonna take it to floor
God damn, you just caught me, ?and Diddy is graceful?
Let me pull the mic out my aftershave case
We work out the ?braids us?, break rhymes out the anus
Fine dine and champagne us, you just can’t contain us
Tonight I’m gonna party like I’m twenty-three
‘Cause see I’m reelin’ in the years, but yo, they're still cardin’ me
And we been steppin’ out since ninety-one, girls gotta have fun
Yo it’s my song and it’s on

Keepin’ it easy like M S B (?)
Get out your seat and just move with me
Everybody wanna shake it up in this spot
And your mama feels the beat so you know it’s hot

Last night that was a good look and
Last night I lost my bank book and
This is New York City so I’m at the ATM
Again, again, again
Last night that was a good look and
Last night I lost my bank book and
I’ve had an all-day champagne
?Chicks will have to plan that Sprout’s gone to scullion? (only way)
Again, again, again

Yo, don’t knock it till you check out how we rock it
Yo don’t even doubt it, ask your doctor about it
Yo, somehow I know that I’ve gone too far
Cause I’m just takin’ shit out the mini-bar
And when you open up the door it is ajar
?Haster Bren?, can you tell me where the hell you are?
I’ll tell you the actual truth, drinkin’ the eighty proof
And now I’m makin’ out with him up in the DJ booth
But tonight, how’d his charm leaves these alarms?
Like how many girls before me been on his arm?
And we start to spin ‘round like a roller rink
And one minute it’s cool and then I’m droppin’ my drink

Keepin’ it easy like M S B (?)
Get out your seat and just move with me
Everybody wanna shake it up in this spot
And your mama feels the beat so you know it’s hot

Last night that was a good look and
Last night I lost my bank book and
This is New York City so I’m at the ATM
Again, again, again
Last night that was a good look and
Last night I lost my bank book and
I’ve had an all-day champagne
?Chicks will have to plan that Sprout’s gone to scullion? (only way)
Again, again, again

Crack an egg on your head
And the yolk drips down
And the yolk drips down
And the yolk drips down
Take it out on the floor
Shake it out on the floor
Work it out on the floor
Bring it out on the floor
So now I’m makin’ deals behind the wheels of steel
We’re just like Grand Puma (?) but we real to real
And now I’m givin’ it my all, so what the hell?
I said, more (more), more (more), more cowbell

Last night that was a good look and
Last night I lost my bank book and
This is New York City so I’m at the ATM
Again, again, again
Last night that was a good look and
Last night I lost my bank book and
I’ve had an all-day champagne
?Chicks will have to plan that Sprout’s gone to scullion? (only way)
Again, again, again

Last night that was a good look and
Last night I lost my bank book and
This is New York City so I’m at the ATM
Again, again, again
Last night that was a good look and
Last night I lost my bank book and
I’ve had an all-day champagne
?Chicks will have to plan that Sprout’s gone to scullion? (only way)
Again, again, again

Oh, she said "Hesta Prynn" not "Haster Bren" cause her name is Hesta Prynn.

Reminds me of early Beastie Boys- with the hot beat and real hip hop lyrics. Though they're not nearly as good, I like this song.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
