I want to scream until no sound comes out
And you've learned your lesson
I want to swallow these pills to get to sleep
So I don't have to make a bad impression

I need to start to be myself
'Cause I'm sick of everybody else

I won't let you bring me down
It's here and now, I'm breaking out
I will learn to love again
But I will stand a broken man

I wanna run, but only far enough to make you miss me
I wanna take back all the shit that I have done
But I guess you were better off without me

I need to start to be myself
'Cause I'm sick of everybody else

I won't let you bring me down
It's here and now, I'm breaking out
I will learn to love again
But I will stand a broken man

I took one big step and I looked away
And then I thought of all the things that I wanted to say
I'm always too late
You never got your story straight
I'm always up late
I think I'm everything you hate

I took one big step and I looked away
And then I thought of all the things that I wanted to say
I'm always too late
You never got your story straight
I'm always up late
I think I'm everything you hate

I took one big step and I looked away
And then I thought of all the things that I wanted to say
I'm always too late
You never got your story straight
I'm always up late
I think I'm everything you hate

I won't let you bring me down
It's here and now, I'm breaking out
I will learn to love again
But I will stand a broken man

I won't let you bring me down
It's here and now, I'm breaking out
I will learn to love again
But I will stand a broken man

i really like this song, it has a chill feel to it.

the song probably is talking about how he and this girl just broke up and basically things kind of ended badly and now he's dealing with all the repercussions of it all, wishing he could talk to her about what happened and tying off loose ends.

this is a powerful song but i think its about a breakup and he didnt have enough time to tell her the things he wanted so now hes just not going to let it get to him and move on.

I think this song is about a guy getting cheated on by a girl "I won't let you bring me down It's here And now I'm breaking out I will learn to love again But I will stand a broken man" This part is about how he won't get taking down by this and that its over between them, but it hit him hard and he'll have trouble getting over it "You never got your story straight " She tries to make cover-up stories but its not consistent

yea he's basically getting over a relationship where he was cheated on. he's telling her i need to get over this and be myself again but i hope you realize what you just lost my favorite line would have to be "i wanna run but only far enough for you to miss me" It just shows the things we will do for attention and do to hurt the people we dislike or hate.

just a little extra i saw blg in concert and they were freaking amazing SOOO cool i actually met martin after the concert and he was super super hott and super super nice. if yall get the chance make SURE to go to one of their concerts =]

This song means a whole lot to me... it reminds me about how my gf broke up with me after a really weird relationship... like all of a sudden she stopped talking to me, and i know how girls hate it wen boys assume but it's the only thing i could do. So i guess i just thought the worse that could happen. When she broke up with me i thought of all the things i was going to tell her... like i love her and shet... but i guess that didn't work out so well. My friend was talking to her afterward and found out a lot of stuff that she wouldn't tell me and i was suprised... So she broke up with me in a text which was pretty dick, so that sucked... now i'm wishing her back but i want to move on. Thats where Boys Like Girls cought my attention... great comment... exactly how i feel on the "I think its about a guy whos really upset about a breakup and wants to move on...but then again dosent." I say thanks for Boys Like Girls and all their music... too bad their not as popular as they should be... Sorry for the life story..

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
