I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I adore this song. --Possibly my favourite off the album. This is the first time I've read through the lyrics to this song, and seeing the "bruce come sit in my lap" bit surprises me. I can clearly hear "bruce", but beyond that, I actually thought that they were speaking another language. and as for the "I wish I could find a fluke in the bag of love" bit--I thought they were saying, "I wish I could find a blue paper bag of love". Interesting...haha. ooh, and I also thought that they were saying "tractor trailer", as opposed to "track to trailer". I've been singing along all wrong apparently. Wonderful song, Amazing band.
