OK yo?
I wake up late every morning
Managers calling, I'm still yawning
Get up wake up hair and makeup's
Waiting for you don't be stalling
This performance is important
I don't think I can put my all in
Hold on I was drunk last night
Now its all kicking in and I don't feel right
Gave my number to a breh who wasn't my type
Now my phones on silent I'm being polite
Now private callers get no love from me
Just let me be?

Oh my Gosh my days are getting longer
And there's no turning back I'm working a 9 to 5
To keep my contract did I say 9 I meant 1:30
I ain't no early birdy I'm lazy thats all that I can say
So make sure you heard me
And deres no turning back I'm working a 9 to 5

So you gotta do somthin' for channel you
Channel who sorry who I'm half way through a snooze
Oh! Channel you the ones that made me huge
Like Katie Prices boobs
Whoops I'm being rude
Where's my red bull and my sandwich, I need food
I can't handle this
I'm getting pissed like pampers throwing a tantrum, action
No I'd actually id rather catch my z's and count sheep in my sleep
Lets not wake her up she actually looks quite sweet

Oh my Gosh my days are getting longer
And there's no turning back cause I'm working a 9 to 5
To keep my contract did I say 9 I meant 1:30
I'm no early birdy I'm lazy thats all that I can say
So make sure you heard me
I ain't no early birdy
Won't wake up till 12:30
Would it be bothered to say much ere
So oh dear
Huh where am I man?
This? ain't good? what's going on?!

So my label would change my image
I'm a pink lipstick chick called dipstick
This ain't on my wish list
Oh shit I'm in FHM posing in a bikini
Next to a Lamborghini
Next stop the theme tune for Tweenies
I'm presenting see-beebies
Have you seen me?
Never again, am I drinking lambrini
Its alright Sov it's a dream just wake up?

Oh my Gosh my days are getting longer
And there's no turning back 'cause I'm working the 9 to 5
To keep my contract did I say 9 I meant 1:30
I'm no early birdy I'm lazy I'll say it again
To make sure ya heard me
I ain't no early birdy
Won't wake up to 12:30
And I can't be bothered to say much ere
So ill say it again

Oh even better than the original of " LADY " solo. Now we pair up the most arrogant twat to emerge from music ever with the leader of the chavs. [Both descriptions are inter-changable for both personalities by the way] Both artists have brought their unique style to this song lady's usual arrogant, cockey drone with whats his name's need to sing through his nose. So to simplify for any confused chavs reading this yes i am insulting your gods' work, i'll give it a number of days for you to rack your brain for some saught of petty insult to attempt to unsuccessfully fire at me, not that i expect a response seen as no one has commented on this yet.

...Just, out of curiosity. Is it really not possible for a person to enjoy deep, meaningful songs and also be able to enjoy rather practical acts like Lady Sovereign? Ugh. It's like the whole 'you're either with the blacks or the whites and there's no fucking in-between lest you want your head cut off' phase all over again. Just let me enjoy whatever the hell I would like and don't judge me for it, you've got the choice not to listen to it anyway. I actually -like- the novelty value of Lady's accent and 'i could care less' kind of attitude, it's funny to me.

Hmmm another chav hater. Kind of annoys me you know, i come from a council estate and i wear tracksuits big ear rings etc. If you got to know me though you would realise i hate chav music and underclass who damage property ETC. Just because i dress like this i get labelled a 'CHAV' and people think i want to cause trouble and i sleep around. Its pathetic, never judge a book by it's cover. I normally hate rap but Lady Sovereign is cool, Preston on the other hand is a NIT. No need to slag Lady S down for all you know she could be a lovely person.

I to live on a council estate indieandrockfan. When i use the term chav why do you like most of society automatically only see the exterior traits i.e. clothing, postcode and accent as being the hallmarks of a chav. i do not see these as the defining articles of a chav. I prefer to analyse personality, intentions, and demeanour before i label. And i'm afraid to say lady meets this criteria.

claps Well said! I'm one of those in-between people! I love her attitude and voice... I think she's actually quite pretty too, in a slightly chavvy way.

It is possible. Sometimes I feel like a meaningless and catchy song like Britney, Lady Sov or The Veronicas. And sometimes I like to listen to something with meaning like Death Cab or The Cure.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
