In the days when children sung
In the heart claim shattered son
You were right in telling them
Where they were beneath the snow

Space call God right now
Let them be judged upon
What they've done to him, my son
In the snow before the sun

Please God, right now
Please God, right now

If they could only say all the things they saw would they?
They were only boys
With time I create
Invest investigate puzzle solved belated

If they could only say all the things they saw would they?
They were only boys
With time I create
Invest investigate puzzle solved belated

Which one killed my boy?
My question to incriminating convoy
I want death and blood for my son
We will curse that forms the sun

(Speak...)

Please God, right now
Please God, right now

If they could only say all the things they saw would they?
They were only boys
With time I create
Invest investigate puzzle solved belated

If they could only say all the things they saw would they?
They were only boys
With time I create
Invest investigate puzzle solved belated

If they could only say all the things they saw would they?
They were only boys
With time I create
Invest investigate puzzle solved belated

If they could only say all the things they saw would they?
They were only boys...

A beautiful track... very lullaby-like with Claudio using his "baby" voice and the chorus "Please God right now" just amazing. I also love at the end when he comes in with his normal voice... such a nice contrast. I think the song is rather straightforward on meaning... It's Sir Arthur McCloud mourning the supposed "death" of his boys and wanting revenge on those responsible. AMAZING! Can;t wait for "My Brother's Blood Machine" to be released, which will be sometime in 2006.

The PFI storyline will be loosely based on the Co&Ca one and you can check their myspace page for more details. =)

Ok this one clearly talks about the McCloud twins. But Im not sure who it is dies (or whatever) in the snow. 'Who watches the watchmen?' also mentions dying in the snow a few times, but Im not really sure who this is in reference to

Back to the start(ish) of the story, Arthur McCloud is now alone since his wife is dead and his children ran away. Now he is following them (probably through tracks since it is snowing) He stumbles upon the graves of the McCloud boys at the place where long-arm and butchie bleam kidnapped them. Arthur is mouring their death and feels it is his fault because he was to slow in solving the puzzle as to where they were at eg"With time I create, Invest investigate puzzle solved belated" So now he wants revenge in the form of the blood of who killed his boys.

I thought it was Mother McLoud (Martha) Finding her sons in the snow and her wanting God avenge her by killing Long-Arm and Butchie.

I dont think it's Arthur McCloud telling this one because he dies in "Our darling daughter you are little Cecilia Marie". I think it's Martha McCloud finding out what happened to her sons and blaming herself for not solving the puzzle earlier (like stated above). She turns to god to avenge the murderers of her sons. This song is clearly about revenge.

I agree that Martha, feeling a mothers instinct that her children were in trouble, finds the bodies of her sons, who died somehow along the way, but not in the Blood Machine. And she vows revenge but realizes that even if she finds out who did it, it won't bring her children back.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
