We meet again
Riding our divisible bodies
Feel no shame
Luck is love is on

If you need the pain
Well you are, yes you are so much like me
Seasons change--nothing lasts for long
Except the earth and the mountains
So learn to sing along and languish here
Help me languish here

It was long ago
That all of your willing dimensions
Lost the flow
And vanished in vaneer

But iI want to know
If you are, yes you are so much like me
Steel restraints
Zodiac ballet, everybody play
There's no more counting days, you languish here
Help me languish here

You said, "done is good,"
But done well is so much fucking better
Share the wealth
And cauterize the tears

If you want to know
Well you are, yes you are so much like me
Freeze the saints
Such a subtle read, exquisite pedigree
Just let yourself be and languish here
Help me languish here

General Commentthis is such a good song, my fav. SM after any pavement...
its about him returning to an old love, and freezing the time they have, forgetting everything else thats going on and has happened. he admits that nothing lasts long, so therefore enjoy the moment. I esp. love the, You said, "done is good,"
But done well is so much fucking better

General CommentRecently in American history, I had to do a report on the Cheyenne. The line "Nothing lasts long, except the Earth and the mountains" is the Cheyenne death song. I have no idea what that might mean in the song, except for in reference to a relationship maybe... Oh well. SM is cool like that. It's an awesome song.

General CommentI also love this song. I've never been much of a lyric guy, often zoning in on the melody and particularly the percussion (and I'm not even a drummer), but these lyrics really are amazing.

I agree that this song is to some degree about letting go your mortal body and the "relief" associated with that.
