For a second ill be the fashion police
And I'm just looking at your garms you been on too many catalog sprees
With your granny fied curtain designs, your hurting my eyes,
You really should revise your dress sense before you walk on by,
I'm kinda mixed up in this disco inferno,
Baggy jeans and a tight top, lemonade and Pernod
I'm sticking out like a sore thumb but I ain't concerned though, no, uh oh,oh oh oh (boogie)

[Chorus: x2]
Fling on an A D I D A S hoodie and just boogie woogie with me
Oh
Or you can just. put on your dancing shoes and get loose
Can you get loose can you??

So I was up in this trendy bar mingling
My keys around my neck were jingling
And you was looking at me like it was my bling
You was staring at me like to say I was ginger
I was dishing out out the same dirty looks trust me your the minger

Who's she, who's that, who's her?
The bouncer was approaching me cause I was dressed really inappropriately
No hood, no hats, no this, no that
Lets roll uh ol' uh ol' (out)

[Chorus: x2]

Right everybody, if you've got someone who cant dress properly,
Yeah you need to direct them this way.

Why not just cut up all your old clothes
And make a quilt so I can wrap myself up when im feeling cold,
Why not dash your ugly boots on the fire and burn them down to charcoal,
If your not feeling the way that your bedrin is dressing dont be stressing
Send them in my direction please,
Black shoes , white socks, no oh
Polka dots, no oh
Flowery frocks, no oh
Just boogie woogie with me!

Hoodies are banned in shopping centres and a lot of public places in the UK. If your seeing wearing a hood put you'll get asked to put it down. And hoodies are just generally just looked down upon in England.

To me, this song means that some overpaid talentless tartlet is raking it in at the expense of numerous chavvy shitehawks.

Yeah redlance how dare you utilise your basic right to express your opinion. Now distilledblood has been overcome with that pre-programmed internet forum response " you are shoving your opinion down my throat" disguising the fact they haven't really got a valid response.

Face it distilled blood, lady is making capital out of being absolutely talentless. And by the way why don't you open the odd magazine cover from time to time and see that bad ass sovereign is only using her position to create quite a sad media circle of mud slinging at other people within the industry.

She is quite the cancerous lump on a testicle that should be removed before it grows into a nice debilitating illness.

lady sovereign can freestyle. she's well-respected and successful without taking her clothes off or bowing down to anybody and I have to raise my glass to that!

plus, the u.s. doesn't have chav culture so I don't really give a shit about that.

apart from the fact that Lady S is a little annoying, think the basic fact of what she is trying to get across with the banning of hoodies and the way girls look when they go out makes alotta sense, God if i could go out in my joggers and trampy clothes half the time id feel alot better then having to dress up! and doesnt everyone use their position to create the mud slinging? isnt Lily Allan hating a different person everyday?

This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

No Surprises

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
