I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me
I still feel your touch in my dreams
Forgive me my weakness, but I don't know why
Without you it's hard to survive

'Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling
And every time we kiss I swear I could fly
Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last
Need you by my side

'Cause every time we touch, I feel the static
And every time we kiss I reach for the sky
Can't you hear my heart beat so I can't let you go
Want you in my life

'Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling
And every time we kiss I swear I could fly
'Cause every time we touch, touch, touch, touch, touch, touch, touch, touch, touch

Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky
They wipe away tears that I cry
The good and the bad times we've been through them all
You make me rise when I fall

'Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling
And every time we kiss I swear I could fly
Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last
Need you by my side

'Cause every time we touch, I feel the static
And every time we kiss I reach for the sky
Can't you hear my heart beat so I can't let you go
Want you in my life

Lyrics only so-so, but awsome beat. i agreee with loop-to-loop, you can listen to it a ton of times and it's still a great song to dance to.

    Song Meaning

It's very deep actually. The girl must have felt very down until she found that guy who lifts her so high now. "Forgive me my weakness, but I don't know why without you it's hard to survive" - see? She suddenly needs the guy to lighten up her mood everytime because she's very sad and unmotivated herself. She only feels safe with that one person to the unhealthly point where she creates all the fairy-tale like visions to tell herself that her life is beautiful now because a random boy show up.The guy now has a full power to control her mood completely and she's way too invested but once the guy leaves she'll once again have absolutely nothing to hold on. Gods help Cascada

Awesome dance beat, but recycled cliche lyrics about a girl who loves a guy quite a bit.

Worth checking out for the beat though. Don't expect anything spectacular, but worth a listen.

I agree. I like the beat a lot, but the lyrics are nothing special.

yup i agree, this chick loves this guy quite alot. basically going along saying " everytime we touch i get this feeling" meaning of love and how she feels free. no matter what she needs him by her side.

I love this song. Not so much for the lyrics, but for the beat, it's so adorable.

deffinately a good song...i dont think the lyrics are bad but the songs meaning deffinately is nothing new...about a girl, loves a boy. It really has some good lyrics like "your arms are my castle" and the stuff about her heart is pretty good too....AMAZING beat, its seriously a perfect mix of all kinds of trance its like anthem, and all this other stuff mixed together and its amazing...i love it!

I absolutely love this song. Cascada has such a beautiful singing voice and she's pretty. Not that pretty....but decent. I love the beat tho. it's awesome as hell. It makes me want to get up and shake something. You know, this song rocks. I played it a million times and I love it. Sure, it's about just loving a guy but I dont care! The beat drives me crazy! ....in a good way lol And if u haven't checked out the video, u should. it's great.

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
