"Bite Back" as written by Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler....
You couldn't break me in the end... (oh no)
And such a freedom I enjoy
When you're deaf to the sounds you trust
If that was all you've got, my friend... (oh no)
Then set yourself to disappoint
Yeah...

Feels like I'm strapped down on this table... so tight
You've got me stuck to a razor's edge
And I'm trapped in a deadbolt glove
You stand to cut me you're unable... oh no
And such a streak starts steading heads
And I live for the things I love

Sad, but maybe it's true
Push you back's what I'll do
And it's just enough
To keep you back one second longer

Take a little more than what I've got
It's all I have to please you
Break a little piece of what you want
Bite back the hand that feeds you

Remember when things seem so stable... you know that
I compromise just to appease
Yeah, you take but you take too much
If what you need's not seeming able... yeah, right
Then maybe it works when I leave
Yeah, you fake what you say you love

Sad, but maybe it's true
Push you back's what I'll do
And it's just enough
To keep you back one second longer

Take a little more than what I've got
It's all I have to please you
Break a little piece of what you want
Bite back the hand that feeds you

Take a little more than what I've got
It's all I have to please you
Break a little piece of what you want
Bite back the hand that feeds you

Move faster
I can't move enough
How much longer?
Is this long enough?
We can't be
And it won't even catch your attention
And it pains me so to mention

Sad, but maybe it's true
Push you back's what I'll do
And it's just enough
To keep you back one second longer

Take a little more than what I've got
It's all I have to please you
Break a little piece of what you want
Bite back the hand that feeds you

Take a little more than what I've got
It's all I have to please you
Break a little piece of what you want
Bite back the hand that feeds you

Take what I've got
It's all I have to please you
Break what you want
Bite back the hand that feeds you

Take what I've got
It's all I have to please you
Break what you want
Bite back the hand that feeds you

General CommentI really want to see this song preformed live. Tyson is the best vocalist and I think that the meaning can be explaned if we see how his emotions are when he sings it live =D

General Commenti think this song is about a guy who has a girlfriend who's way too high-maintenance. she's like drainging all his resources and exhausting him, because he has to pay attention to her all the time to keep her happy. and in spite of how bad she is for him, he still loves her. and i think he's a little bitter, but doesn't want to let her go, just "push her back" so she'll ease up.

General CommentI agree with the comment above. This song seems as if the singer wishes to express his need for gratitude on the other person's part, like he feels he has been taken for granted and wants to be appreciated, while establishing his own independence at the same time.

General CommentOh yeah, of course this song is about a romantic relationship. Why in the world would it not be? Oh, and note my sarcasm there. I'm so sick of the world being completely obsessed with automatically thinking that all songs are about 'romantic' relationships. News flash, they aren't.

To me, this song is about a broken friendship. Friendship. F-R-I-E-N-D-S-H-I-P. Not a romantic relationship. I'm coming from experience here, because one of my friends just betrayed me and this songs really does help me in that I can relate to it.

So, next time you hear a song, don't jump to the conclusion that it's about a boyfriend/girlfriend type of thing. Because there's always a big chance that it's not. Got it?

    General Commentwowww when.she.screams chill out!
I reckon its just about some chick he likes who didn't appreciate him enough even though he tried really hard to make her happy

General CommentIt's about friendship, it's kinda obvious. But I can also see how some people could think it's about relationships too. Just try listening to it with friendship in mind.
