Too many times, I have wondered
What all trying is for
You come around, I feel so down, I'm gonna drown
Because I know that you're falling short

But do you know?
It doesn't change the way I feel about you at the end of the day
Because I know
That all I want is what you got
All I want is what you got

And too many times, I have wanted
To turn around and walk away
Knowing deep inside
You can't provide what I need from you anyway

But do you know?
It doesn't change the way I feel about you at the end of the day
Because I know
That all I want is what you got
All I want is what you got

I tell you that I wanna go, but I wanna stay
I tell you that I wanna go, but I wanna stay
I tell you that I wanna go, but I wanna stay
I wanna stay, I wanna stay, I wanna stay
But I know I'm gonna lose myself this way
I wanna stay, I wanna stay, I wanna stay
But I know I'm gonna lose myself this way

But do you know?
It doesn't change the way I feel about you at the end of the day
'Cause I know
That all I want is what you got
All I want is what you got
But this moment is all I've got
It's all I've got

I really love this song! It was the 1st song I heard from Susie Suh and it's amazing.

For me it's about someone you really like and really want to be with, even though you know he/she isn't good for you. I'm listening to this right now actually.

think it's about being torn between your feelings for someone and rationalisations about why you shouldn't be with him/her or why it ended/should end and about making a decision to end it for whatever reason, but still having feelings despite all the reasons its not right

my favs: "but do you know, it doesnt change, the way i feel about you... at the end of the day" & "i tell you that i wanna go... but i wanna stay"

it says a lot about how we often do that in life with our relationships... say what we don't mean inside, deny our true feelings for the sake of something - be it coping with the disappointment and sadness of a relationship - esp one that has finished without real closure.. or that couldnt be realised....

this seems like she's the other woman, hooking up with a married man or a man in a serious relationship. she knows it's wrong, she wants to go, but she wants to stay. she can't change how she feels about him even though it's wrong. this moment is all she's got...like when he can get away from the other relationship... and she wants what he's got...maybe marriage, family, etc. and she's tried to walk away but keeps coming back and she knows she will loose who she is if she continues becuase she doesn't see herself and who she is as a person who would do something like this. she's loosing respect for herself.

I agree with jojo nunya. Its about her being in love with someone she can't have. She can't help that she's so in love with him. even if she knows that is wrong because he's in a relationship with someone else. "Too many times I have wondered what all trying is for" She doesn't know why she ever tries with him. She feels like giving up, cause she knows she can't ever really be with him cause he's with someone else. "And too many times, I have wanted to turn around and walk away. Knowing deep inside, you can't provide what I need from you anyway." She knows that she should walk away from this. and let go of him. but it doesn't change the way she feels. even if he can't give her everything she needs. "I tell you that i wanna go, but I wanna stay." She's only saying that she wants to go, but she's trying to let go of him, cause she knows that what she's doing is wrong. "I wanna stay, I wanna stay, I wanna stay, but i know I'm gonna lose myself this way." She's becoming a bad person because of the way she feels about this guy. but she can't help it cause he's all she's ever wanted. but getting involved with someone who's taken is not something that she would do. so she's losing herself because of him. "All I want is what you got, but this moment is all I've got. Its all I've got." Goddd this song kills me. I love it. I can relate to it alottt. Susie suhs amazing! The first time I heard this was on One Tree Hill and I've loved her ever since. That song fit the scene perfectly, when Jake was leaving Peyton. My version of what I think about the song was basically a longer version of what jojo nunya said haha oops.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
