Wrap your arms around my neck so tight
So I can tell what you did and where you were last night
I can smell her perfume on my bed
All she wanted was to see the world
Until she met this boy who fell in love with the girl
Love was not there, she said

Wish that I could buy you all the flowers in the world
And say I’m sorry o’er a half a million times
Wish I could erase the fact that I am not a perfect man
It sounds like such a capital idea

Aye Julian, is this the end of us now?
Love will take you away
Julian, is this the end of us now?
Love will take you away

Aye Julian

Wish that I could buy you all the flowers in the world...

Actually... It's from a girl's perspective. then it switches back to the guy's perspective. It's about a girl and she caught her boyfriend cheating on her. then he says he's sorry and he wishes that he could buy her all the flowers in the world to make it up to her..and that he's not a perfect man. Then the guy describes his girlfriend that is saying the chorus and how she was just there and they fell in love but he was in love with another girl (the perfume chick) but the girl is saying "love was not there" between the perfume girl and the guy. Then it goes back to the girl talking about how he cheated and then back to the guy asking julian if it's over. ending the song with "Wish that I could buy you all the flowers in the world" is repeating the fact that he's sorry and is in love with her.

It seems like it's coming from both points of views. I love this song dearly. It's a song about cheating. "All she wanted was to see the world til she met this boy who fell in love with a girl," people usually would give up everything for love. On their myspace, they said Julian is also the child that would have been born if the relationship had progressed, and I totally didn't see it as that way. Now that I think, it seems correct. "Love will take you away." The guy was in love with both women, and he cheated, his girlfriend broke up with him, so the idea of a baby was 'taken away' by his 'love' for the other girl.

Do you not hear how the music changes?

The fast angry part is the girl realizing that the boy she's in love with and tried to settle down with ("All she wanted was to see the world Until she met this boy who fell in love with the girl") is not only in love with another girl, but is sleeping with Girl #2 in her own bed, the bed they probably share as a couple.

Then the music slows down and it's the boy trying to tell Girl #1 that he's sorry and "Wishes that he could buy her all the flowers in the world."

Not so simple, actually. It's about a girl that met this boy and she wanted him, but this boy (Julian) fell in love with some other girl, which is where she states that "love was not there" between Julian and herself. The verse if coming from Julian's point of view telling her he's sorry that he isn't perfect.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
