Break the skin
'Cause I can't tell where your body ends and mine begins
Tear the flesh
I woke today feeling like some kind of masochist

You manifest
You bring things to be
And your mojo witchcraft, Honey, it's working on me

I must confess
Pull, beg, and plead
That I need your kiss like the ocean needs a breeze

Oh, I go off like a gun
Like a loaded weapon
Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands
So here we go again
It echoes in my head
Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands

So I can feel you here with me

Soaked in sin
Baptized by your kiss and now I'm born again
Bite your lip
Wrap my hands around your head and pull you in

I can't catch my breath
Sleep, think, or speak
Yeah your mojo witchcraft, Honey, it's working on me

So let's make a mess
Tear up these sheets
Every whisper you speak sends shivers through me

Oh, I go off like a gun
Like a loaded weapon
Bang, bang, bang

Grip me in your hands
So here we go again
It echoes in my head
Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands

Oh, I go off like a gun
Like a loaded weapon
Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands
So here we go again
It echoes in my head
Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands

So I can feel you here with me (tear the flesh)
So I can feel you here with me (break the skin)
So I can feel you near me (tear the flesh)
So I'll make sure you hear me

Oh, I go off like a gun
Like a loaded weapon
Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands
So here we go again
It echoes in my head
Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands

Oh, I go off like a gun
Like a loaded weapon
Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands
So here we go again
It echoes in my head
Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands

Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands
Bang, bang, bang
Grip me in your hands

But is he merely talking about her kiss? Or is he also referring to the emotions that are associated with this physical desire?

I'm not sure if this song is more about love or lust. He makes all these references to kisses, sex, and just very physical things in general. I feel that this song is charged with sexual energy and on the verge of explosion.

The whole "Mojo witchcraft" thing is kinda creepy - in a bad way. Makes it sound almost cult-like. I guess he's trying to tell her that she sets him off, and makes him go "Bang, bang, bang." But what does that even mean? That he's happy? Crazy in love? Or just horny? Haha.

Though there is that word choice: "soaked in sin" What is this sin he speaks of? Loving her too much? Or is he talking about his desire that he feels? But in the end, her kiss baptizes him and can do wonders. Again, is this love? Or lust?

Either way, it's an awesome song. Love it to pieces! So darn catchy! dance

yea i'd have to agree with mshoneydew19. it's definatly about sex.

"let's make a mess let's tear up these sheets"

ya, SEX!! and the whole using a gun as a metophor for his piece.

it could also be like a relationship between this guy and a prostitute, but he actually likes her and she's only with him for the money.

"here we go again" and "and your mojo witchcraft honey it's working on me"

regular client, prostitutes gotta be seductive and apparantly she's seducing this guy quite well.

"woke up today feeling like some kind of masochist"

he knows he likes her and that she doesn't like him back but still goes back even though it hurts to know he's not her only one. either that or he really enjoys kinky sex cause there are some other lines that point that way such as: "tear the flesh so I can feel you here with me break the skin so I can feel you here with me" ya that sounds pretty masochistic to me like he needs to feel the pain to know she's there with him. woah that was a pretty obvious translation there. haha.

yup so that's what i think. errg!! i love this song! it sends shivers through me.

first off, this band is from victoria, which is located on vancouver island. second of all, the song is referring to him jacking off while he is thinking of his favorite girl.

The song is about sucking dick. The " I go off like a gun, like a loaded weapon". Just think about it. "I grab your head and pull you in". Again, think about it. I also like it b/c of the sexual energy. Sometimes it's just that simple. If he would've said grip me in your arms it might have been a love song, but "grip me in your hands" Ohh so dirty!

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
