Yeah

She said (She said)
Get outta my way cause I'm goin' somewhere
This is not where I wanna be
You can say what you want, you can tell me I'm wrong
La dee da, la dee dee
Get off of my back, stop saying that
'Cause I'm not afraid of heights
I may never get where I'm going, yeah
But then again, I might

You can't get inside my head
Can't be my safety net
I'm standing on the edge, yeah

I know it's a long way down
But you can't walk the wire for anybody else
I might hit the ground
But at least I'll have a story to tell
She said, "I gotta find out for myself"
(She said, she said, she said)

She said
Get outta my space and remember this face
'Cause it's not who I wanna be (No)
At the end of the day, I got something to say
La dee da, la dee dee
Somewhere, nowhere, don't care, any place but here
Oh, if you don't believe in magic
Then watch me disappear

You can't get inside my head
Can't be my safety net
I'm jumping off the edge, yeah

I know it's a long way down
But you can't walk the wire for anybody else
I might hit the ground
But at least I'll have a story to tell
She said, "I gotta find out for myself"
(She said, she said, she said)

She said
La la la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la la
Oh, la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la

I know it's a long way down
But you can't walk the wire for anybody else
I might hit the ground
But at least I'll have a story to tell
She said, "I gotta find out for myself"
It's a long way down (oh long way down)
But you can't walk the wire for anybody else
I might hit the ground (I might hit the ground)
But at least I'll have a story to tell (I'll have a story to tell)
She said, "I gotta find out for myself"

(She said, she said, she said)
Get outta my way 'cause I'm going somewhere
This is not where I wanna be

Totally agree. Hope she doesn't become a one-hit wonder. This was really good.

Dang, forgot to add my thoughts. Um, yea, she's gonna try something that people are warning her about. Like people holding you back from going into the entertainment business cuz of how bad it can get. She said, which I'm guessing could be her mother(?), said that she need not listen to anyone else's views on her aspirations and find out for herself.

This song came on the Yahoo mix radio, and now I absolutley love it. Yay! I know this might sound weird but I think that the "she" that said all that stuff was the little voice in her head. Sometimes people give their conscience a name. Maybe the voice is what Brie actually thoguht/wrote/said in private, when she was the person she couldn't be in public. Idk.... I'm just trying to relate to what I know. :) Regardless, this song is totally awesome.

Then again, it could just be a girl who said all this and it's a thrid person point of view. :)

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
