You say you've come alone
You know I don't beleive you
Knowing your lies and motives
Come along
You say I'm all alone
And I don't have a place to call home
I got lost along the way

My life is for sale
My life is for sale
My life as this moment gets closer

I met you, by the way
And watched you fall to your knees
Down low
Lost along the way
Now I see you come alive
Only to throw it all away
Can you find another way?

My life is for sale
My life is for sale
My life as this moment gets closer
My life as this moment gets closer

Can you believe with all the love it would end this way?
Can you believe the time it took to lose it all and run?
His true love will kill him all the same
On a rainy day
I fear I'll find him dead alone

I met you, by the way
And loved you like a brother
All along
Just as I do today
Now I see you come alive
Only to see you throw it all away
And push it in your veins

My life is for sale
My life is for sale
My life as this moment gets closer
My life as this moment gets closer
(My life as this moment...
My life as this moment...
My life as this moment gets closer)

General CommentIt's definitely about drug addictions, and it's more a feeling of frustration than sympathy or sadness. He is so mad this person was very close to him, and on death's door, angry his problem will steal him away. People like that are hard to help...unfortunately, as in this song, they make their own solutions and are usually the worst kind.
