I like the sound that ice will make
When your glass is full and your hand can't help but shake
I'm not sure what is left to say
Now the dinner's done and the sun's been put away
I guess you may sense you should leave
But you look so cute with your hair attached to me
I hear the minutes tick their songs
You should grab that hand
And learn how to hold on
To something
Just laugh at the ending

Hi Hello Hello, I'm French and I can tell you what the girl says in the song : Tu sais, je t'en avais parlé déjà, je ne sais pas si c'est le meilleur moment pour en parler. Ca n'empêche rien. Arrete, je t'en avais parlé déjà. Je ne sais pas si c'est le meilleur moment [Conor starts singing] pour en parler, ça n'empêche rien. Arrête, je t'en avais parlé déjà, tu sais. [something that I can't understand] (...) parfois il pleut et puis on n'entend pas [not sure] (...) [And learn how to hold on] Je ne pense pas qu'il faille en parler (...) ta main tremble un peu (...) tes cheveux attachés. Sorry, the voice of the girl is too far in the background and I can't hear everything. The translation could be (sorry, my english is very bad) : "You know, I have already told you about it, I don"t know if it's the best moment to talk about it. It doesn't prevent from anything [I'm not sure about the translation...]. Stop, I've already told you about it. I don"t know if it's the best moment to talk about it. It doesn't prevent from anything. Stop, I have already told you about it, you know. (...) sometimes, it rains and we don't hear [And learn how to hold on] I don't think we sould talk about it. (...) your hand shakes/is shaking? a little (...) your hair attached." It's very repetitive, and, evenin French, it doesn't really mean something ("tes cheveux attachés" ==> where's the coherence with the rest of what she's saying ?) Hope I've helped you =)

well ne'n parlons pas means let's not discuss it any further, and it sounds gorgeous whether or not it's repetitive. i love this song. it got a garbled sound with a strange melody. it's great. i don't think many people have heard it, which is unfortunate.

for me when i hear "ta main tremble un peu, tes cheveux attaches" i picture him with his head kind of resting in his hand. like his hand is attached to his hair...but that's just me

oh and also... i like how he puts "I hear the minutes tick their songs. you should grab that hand and learn how to hold on to something".. I think he's talking about the minute/hour hand on the clock, meaning, you should hold on to the moment.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
