There they go, I wonder if they know
They’re no one
There they are, little dots from afar
They’re no one
Here we go and we don’t even know
Because we’re no one
Here I am with no time in my hands
So I’m no one
Yes, I’m no one
Yes, I'm no one
So you’re no one
Because we’re no one

Watch out for the platinum-mastered man
It’s all a scam
With his big white teeth
It’s just some noise on your radio waves
Watch out for those times you feel too cool
Don’t be the fool
With your big words gone
It’s just thin ice that you’re walking on

Here we go and we don’t even know
Because we’re no one
Here I am with no time in my hands
So I’m no one
Yes, I’m no one
Yes, I’m no one
So we’re no one
Because we’re no one

Watch out for the entertainment man
He’s sleight of hand
With his red eyes wide
It’s just thin air that makes everything true
Watch out for the backlash two-tone crew
They follow you
They make you choose
But it’s just your face that they want to steal

Yes, I'm no one
Yes, I'm no one
So we're no one
Because we're no one
Yes, I'm no one
Yes, I'm no one
So we're no one
Because we're no one

i dont really know what i feel about the lyrics; maybe it is literal, we are no one, going about our business, just a little dot in the whole spectrum; there are so many intertwining and non-intertwining lives ahead of us and behind... Just how this song all comes together: the beggining, the middle, and the end, makes it comepletely and utterly beautiful i really cant explain. all i have to say is, if the end of the world had a soundtrack, you can bet that this song will be on it.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
