Taking her seat at the bar
She don't talk to anyone
Plane leaving soon for afar
Where she don't know anyone
She thinks of her precious time
There's no-one she leaves behind
Who could change her mind

Is this the way it's gonna be forever
Is this the way it's gonna be forever
Is this the way it's gonna be
Forever now

Take a whole life's loneliness
Wrap it up in some tenderness
Send it off to some emptiness
With all my love
'cause it's only you and me
There'll be nothing we need to see
Only one thing can set you free
Is all my love

Making his way down the stairs
He can't help but looking back
Thinks of the things that they shared
There'll be no more turning back
He thinks of the day they met
The words that she said of love
He just can't forget

Just the way they want to be forever
Just the way they want to be forever
Tell me it will always be
Forever now

Take a whole life's loneliness
Wrap it up in some tenderness
Send it off to some emptiness
With all my love
It's only you and me
There'll be nothing we need to see
Only one thing can set you free
Is all my love
It's only you and me
There'll be nothing we need to see
Only one thing can set you free
Is all our love, oh yeah

    My Interpretation

Apparently the drummer, who couldn't play an instrument at all and had never written any songs for the band, hummed it to the rest of the guys. One night around that time, he was in a drunken state, and he told (the main songwriter) Don Walker that the song was meant to have multiple levels of meanings, but Don said it was never very clear to him what these levels were meant to be. Lol!

But I always thought that this song had at least two levels of meaning: a spiritual interpretation of love, and the simple love of two people for each other in the mundane world that we know. The spiritual interpretation is the one that breaks my heart: the moment of our greatest feelings of love lasting eternally in that moment, "forever now." And who are these two people? They are the archetypal He and She, they are all of us. The song addresses all humanity and eternity, and this is what makes it, in my mind, a classic love song.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
