[Hidden track]

So she tells her man "lets go fishin"
Well go tommorow morning when the sun rise..
And then she says she wants to take her kids and (baby cries)
Thats her boy thats 12 and her daughter thats 4 with angel eyes
So they get there and the sun has barely risen
Decided on a spot where the fish is plentiful with the tide
Get out their poles daddy smiles and said the fish is jumpin
Then they heard a splash but it sounded bigger than fish size
[music changes]
12 yr old screams mom
And mom screams back
The baby was holdin your arm
Well that was 30 seconds ago
So they jumped in
All comin up with nothin
But then...
[music changes]
Something told mom to look toward the light
But the sun wasn't yellow
It had turned white
So she listen and swam
She swam for the light
Like the Michelin man
She swam with such might
She spotted the baby
And she was on her back
Just as the light said "Sunrise was Heaven's track"
She turned the baby over her eyes were still blue
Baby had a smile and said...
"I was waitin for you!"
[music changes]
Mom I was waitin for you!
Your baby!
Momma!
I love you!
And I was waitin for you!
Heyyyyy
[congo drums start playing]
I was waitin for you..
I was waiting for you..
Momma..
I was waiting for you..
I love you ma..

Yeah.... i like this song too... It's about a fishing trip gone arry. Like, the mom makes a mistake and fall into the water with her baby. And then she finds out the baby is okay. It's a good song.... but weird

I agree with babypinka to a certain extent about how its a fishing trip gone wrong and yeah the mum and baby do fall in the water but they dont make it. The baby says "i was waiting for you" because she died first and she's in heaven waiting for her mother. I think that's what the 'white light' is. They both died.

I had a different understanding of the song. I thought only the baby fell in. I thought the 12 yr old was holding the baby and drop it accidently. Then the mom went swimming after it and a miracle she finds the baby still alive.

I think that the 12 year old fell in the water first. "Then they heard a splash but it sounded bigger than fish size 12 yr old screams mom And mom screams back The baby was holdin your arm"

The way I see it, the 12 yr old fell in the water, thus the splash, and comes up to the surface and screams to its mom, upon which the mom thinks about the baby. (which isnt actually a baby, but a todler, she's four after all.) So mom and dad jump in to look for the baby. I agree with marz28 that the light Pharrell is singing about is 'the white light', it says so in the song.

"But the sun wasn't yellow It had turned white"

"Just as the light said "Sunrise was Heaven's track""

    Heaven's track...

I just can't figure out whether the baby is just waiting for the mom so the mom won't be lonely, which is sweet or that the baby was luring the mom, so the baby wouldnt be lonely. Because it seemd kind of creepy to me that the baby is lying in the water, face down, because it was on it's back but the mom turned it around. And it's saying: I was waiting for you.

I don't know, it freaks me out. This whole song is kind of earie...

I never thought about them both dying. That's pretty interesting...but sad. Here how I take it:

The mother was lost, didn't know where her baby was. But something (or someone) told her were to look.

She followed Heaven's tracks, but not to actually go to Heaven. More like Heaven was showing the mother the way to her baby.

On another note, I love the melodies of each situation. First, they are having fun. Then trouble. But when the baby is found, everything is alright again. Captured perfectly through the music.

I think they both really die. There are too many references to death.

The white light, sunrise to heaven, and then her turning the baby over and her eyes were still blue. Its like they both died and she found the baby in death, and the baby says she was waiting for her.

I don't think it makes sense any other way.

I agree with Saar it is earie, but still really cool.

yeah, I agree with deeluve22. I never tought of them dying. its more like unearthly 'powers' showed her way to her baby. but a proper song, tho'

i agree that they both die. the only thing i beg to differ on is the line "She turned the baby over, her eyes were still blue" On the contrary I think the intent was to say her eyes were "steel blue" which is a very beautiful shade of blue. if you have ever seen anyone with this eye color it is absolutely enchanting. Its like the color of bodies of water found in the caribbean.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
