Eckstein, Eckstein
Alles muss versteckt sein

Wieder lieg' ich auf der Lauer
Denn wir spielen unser Spiel
Wieder wart' ich an der Mauer
Wieder steh' ich kurz vorm Ziel

Und ich höre deinen Atem
Und ich rieche deine Angst
Ich kann nicht mehr länger warten
Denn ich weiß, was du verlangst

Eckstein, Eckstein
Alles muss versteckt sein

Eckstein, Eckstein
Alles muss versteckt sein

Eins, zwei, drei, vier,
Fünf, sechs, sieben, acht, neun, zehn
Augen auf, ich komme!
Augen auf, ich komme!
Augen auf, ich komme!
Aufgepasst, ich komme!
Zeig dich nicht

Ständig ruf' ich deinen Namen
Ständig such' ich dein Gesicht
Wenn ich dich dann endlich habe
Spielen wir Wahrheit oder Pflicht

Eckstein, Eckstein
Alles muss versteckt sein

Eckstein, Eckstein
Alles muss versteckt sein

Eins, zwei, drei, vier,
Fünf, sechs, sieben, acht, neun, zehn
Augen auf, ich komme!
Augen auf, ich komme!
Augen auf, ich komme!
Aufgepasst, ich komme!
Zeig dich nicht
Versteck dich

Augen auf, ich komme! (versteck dich)
Augen auf, ich komme! (versteck dich)
Aufgepasst, ich komme!
Zeig' dich nicht!

Eins, zwei, drei, vier, Eckstein
Alles muss versteckt sein

Eckstein, Eckstein
Alles muss versteckt sein

Eckstein, Eckstein
Alles muss versteckt sein

Augen auf, ich - komme!
Augen auf, ich komme!
Augen auf, ich komme!
Aufgepasst, ich komme!
Zeig dich nicht
Versteck dich

Augen auf, ich komme! (versteck dich)
Augen auf, ich komme! (versteck dich)
Aufgepasst, ich komme!
Zeig' dich nicht!

    Song Meaning

I heard, that the song is about a story, happening in France. There were children who killed grown-up people just for fun. In the music-video you can see children faces changing into monster faces and that shows the souls dark side ofe the children.

Sorry for my bad englis...I'm learning in school =D I'm german

What's the cornerstone thing though? Seems like there's another meaning behind that. Or is Eckstein just a convenient rhyme?

i guess it's about an ambivalent relationship between two people. he wants to find her, probably he feels like dying without her: "Ständig ruf ich deinen namen Ständig such ich dein gesicht" (="I'm always calling your name I'm always looking for your face") but at the same time he wants to harm her (revenge?): "Wenn ich dich dann endlich habe Spielen wir wahrheit oder pflicht" (="When I finally have you We'll play truth or dare ") (but the lyrics don't show if it's about a woman. i guess it's basically about the feelings that you have when you like an trust someone and then he/she does something bad to you. then you have very ambivalent feelings about revenge.)

I got the impression, combined with the music video, that it's more about a killer that hides in public. That, and I get the vibe of changelings off it in that respect as well, especially with the video and the "flashes" to what the kid's actually are which to me have the air of a glamour failure.

"Eckstein, eckstein, alles muss versteckt sein" is a nursery rhyme children sing when playing hide and seek. It's an idiom, that's why it translates funny. "Sta:ndig ruf ich deinen namen, Sta:ndig such ich dein gesicht" is what you do during a hide and seek game. Masterchiefaph pretty much has it, I believe.

I think, that this Song from Oomph is about a Guy, who is describing his Situation of abusing a Child. The Guy wants to play games like Hide and Seek and Truth or Dare with the child. He wants to abuse it, but dont want to hurt the child in a bad way. So he tries to put the abusive things he does into a playing and fun game. It's a simple way to influence the childish minds to get them to do, what you want them to do. He is addicted to the abuse, cause he cant hink about anything other.(Ständig ruf ich deinen Namen- Ständig such ich dein Gesicht) But he has to be very carefully about the things he does. ( Alles muss versteckt sein).Another hint, that he wants to "play" is the Rhyme of the Game (Echstein,Eckstein) He dont want to get caught. Cause he knows, that its the worst thing of all, what he is doing.

But the Kids arent so dumb. They know everything. So they're planning to take revenge. Thats why the Childs Along the Video being portraited in Scenes, as Monsters(The Scene, where the Child got a Knife) They know, what is going one and communicate without words under them. Because of the things which are going on, hey cant even trust any othplace er grown up anymore (The scene, where the parents place the cake on the table. The one kid wants to eat, but looks the other kid, who shakes his head. After that he puts the fork down.) In the end, tha band and Dero Goi are covered in an plastic foil. Cause the rest of the world shouldnt see things like that. Or even dont want to see thing like this. They close their eyes before it and ignore things Like abusive.

IT IS REAL. DO SOMETHING. JUST DONT CLOSE YOUR EYES.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
