Why can't you ever back down?
Why can't you just shut your face?
Oh god the feelings I feel
Would get me thrown in a cage.
You're the one always screaming at me
I'm the one that keeps your so life care free
What the fuck more do you want me to be?
Why must you do this to me?

Run away, I can't stay
Lead the away, make the Pain

Counting, on me.
Always hoping I'll be
There for all of your problems
and in turn you're never there for me
You sucked the life out of me
You hate everything you see
I can't take this anymore
I always stay when I should leave

You see the pain in my face
While you keep putting me down
Inside the rage starts to build
You push me and I won't go down
You're the one always screaming at me
I'm the one that keeps your so life care free
What the fuck more do you want me to be?
Why must you do this to me?

Run away, I can't stay
Lead the away, make the Pain

Counting, on me.
Always hoping I'll be
There for all of your problems
and in turn you're never there for me
You sucked the life out of me
You hate everything you see
I can't take this anymore
I always stay when I should leave

Can it really be the day, today
Does this make the problems go away
I'm going to hurt just in time

Right now!
- I take in all I can now
Right Now!
- Feel (dunno)
Right Now!
- there is nothing you can do that can stop me
Right now x 9

Counting, on me.
Always hoping I'll be
There for all of your problems
and in turn you're never there for me
You sucked the life out of me
You hate everything you see
I can't take this anymore
I always stay when I should leave x2

The first time I listened to the "Take a Look in the Mirror" album I didn't even notice this song. Then after a few more times of listening to the CD I realized that I really, really liked this song. It's like once I started to actually pay attention to the lyrics I could understand EXACTLY what this guy was talking about. In the chorus I think basically what he is talking about is a bad relationship in which someone is co-dependent upon him. The woman in the relationship expects him to always be at her beck and call but in return she gives nothing back to him. This situation is literally destroying him from within (i.e. "you suck the life out of me). I think this is a song a lot of people in "one-sided" relationships can relate to. For me this ties with "Right Now" as the best track on the album.

The obvious meaning for this is a sour realtionship. But after hearing it a few times I got a new meaning out of it. I think this song is in a way about the fans. A lot of kids who are drawn to Korn most likely feel SOME kind of rage, emotional distress, ect, ect. I think some fans expect them to keeping writing and singing songs about how they feel and issues they go thru, but here he's saying "You need to solve your own issues. I'm not gonna be here forever."

Great song, my fave off of TALITM so far... This song seems pretty much obvious to what it's about, yet it can have different meanings to different people... in a way I think that yeah, it could very well be about the fan issues they have been seeming to have, with all the 'KoRn sucks now' bs.. but I find it to be about a relationship with someone who is basically dependent and never seems to be satisfied with you, yet you always try to be there for them when they need you but then you realize that nothing you can do will ever please them.

to me this song simblizes someone who constantly uses you yet is never happy with anything you do ( much life what runawayintheend and heirophant said in there articles above mine) this then leds the person to fucking hate the person whose putting them though this shit.

i think of a couple of GFs ago, when this girl got with me to piss off her ex-dude. and when the girl before her cried on my shoulders forever. we were on and off. she was slutty and always asked me "why do people treat me like trash?"

MAn, I was in a relationship just like that. I hated that chick, but I couldn't leave. She was a sad type, and I was always there for her, but when it was my turn, she was gone. A badass song.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
