Rewind the cycle.
My Regret is the world I created.
Regret the kiss that sealed my fate.
Rewind, rewind it all again.
Rewind the silver that was my price.
I think I will take a walk and rest my soul.
A cylindrical head resting in
The arms of a circular rope.
Rewind this cycle endless cycle.

It is so blatantly obvious that this song is about Juda's betrayal of our Lord Jesus. Juda's kissed Jesus to betray Him. He was paid 30 silver coins from the sanhedrin to do so. Juda's kills himself by hanging on a tree in a field that is now called the Field Of Blood. The cycle is endless, because there is nothing else that he can do. What would you do if you decieved the Creator of the world???

i think that the obvious part here is undoubtebly talking about the story w know of Judas betraying Jesus and then his subsequent suicide... but i think the deeper message, the true meaning behind the phrase "endless cycle" is the fact that WE are all Judas... because everyday we fall back into the "endless cycle" of sin, i.e. the betrayal of Jesus... we betray his love and mercy and grace by being selfish and choosing things other than him... the song speaks of the seemingly hopeless cycle we always rewind...

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
