Hehe - now all the ads to the right are about are about drug testing and detoxing. I feel compelled to try to make them something more esoteric:

Rhino, Watermelon, Rajistan, Vacuum, Purple, Paper.

Obviously about D**gs, so no point discussing that, but I feel that when that machine gun bass drum kicks in, its one of those great musical "moments."

One of SP's many songs about drug addiction. And they definitely speak and write the truth about it.

Listening to a radio program about Mars i heard them talking about icy clouds in the atmosphere. The red planet has nothing to do with coke, but i find it fun to think about.

    My Interpretation

This is song is certainly about heroin addiction.

As someone who went through heroin addiction, and still battles it. I know exactly what Ogre is talking about here.

He also warns you in this song, that's it's not worth trying, stay away from it, it will kick your ass.

stand back unafraid and unaffected stand back non molested

This song brings tears to my eyes, it's very powerful. really hits home for me.

    Song Meaning

I SUBMITTED A YOUTUBE VIDEO LINK. A backing video from their concerts, the song is indeed about drug addiction. But while a member RIP did die from a heroin overdose, the song is about crystal. heroin isn't rock, (stone). During this time ogre was on a major downward spiral with meth. In fact during the entire recording of last rights, he was out of his mind the entire time. Thats why/when the decided to break up, William's death while unrelated, delivered a severe blow to the remming members.

I don't think the song is specifically about one drug. Near the beginning of the video backdrop, there is an Opium poppy (flowerless, left as a pod) shown amidst stacks of cash. Later a pill is shown in a spoon, being readied for injection. At the end, he yells from cracks, to crack crack. I think a myriad of hard drugs were used. Meth ups, heroin lows and others in-between.

    Song Meaning

I believe the song title is not related to the "drug or drugs" mentioned lyrically. No reaction, how was this done? People on crystal definitely react to just about anything and everything (speaking from experience (decades ago)). Heroin promotes bruising at injection sight, around on flesh and in veins etc. as well as causes bone pain = Bruised bath soak crying bones. Everyday wishing it to stop. Meth users can really only think of fixing up again, not stopping. Knew heroin users that used, but wouldn't stop talking about wishing they could quit. Meth, not as much with the vomiting, heroin it's a big side effect. I think the Harsh Stone White is mainly the toilet, for a lesser part maybe the bathtub and sink. Down down down the drain = a correlation between the vomit and bloody water going down the drain as he felt his life was.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
