friends shouldnt fight, specially with a girl in the way,
forget her...if this is the way, it has to be, than fine,
you can have her,
you can have her,

i am not going to lose what we have,
please brother, look me in the eyes,
tell me she doesnt mean that much,
tell me you dont want to end, our friendship,
over someone we both hardly know,
im sorry, bro, i didnt know, that you
cared about her, no i didnt know at all,
please, what ever happened to your
little saying, bros before hoes, i guess we
must not be as close, as i thought we
were,

seems i have been misled, all these years,
sleep overs, best friend tattoos, and star wars movies,
all mean nothing after all, oh god, why
couldnt i have look deeper?, why does
she have to be so perfect for the both of us?,
but no i wont hurt you any more, i am
sure you will both have a great life together,
but just know that you are my best friend,
the closet i have ever had to a real brother,

friends shouldnt fight, specially over a girl,
forget her...if this is the way, it has to be, than fine,
you can have her, shes all yours,
i dont want to jepordies, what we are,
you can have her, shes all yours,
i dont want to lose you, my closet allie,
friends shouldnt fight, specially over a girl,
your my britian, im your u.s.,
you can have her, shes all yours,

but....dont think i wont be pissed when the colts makes the playoffs,
and your not here to cheer with me.......

unfortunatley that is something that tends to happen every now and then between freinds. Hurt and betreyal come into play in situations like this. But in the end, 2 people are usually the one's that always get hurt.one being the friend betrayed and the other, the one that chose the girl. The best friends always end up getting hurt and sometimes things are not the same after that. One is hurt from the pain that one out the other threw and the other feels the guilt and repercutions of the choice they made. Forgiveness is what can help both to move on and try to mend the pain and hurt that was caused. Hopefully in the end most of the pain will go away, but sadley not all will dissapear, there will always be a little something left over in their heart.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
