Some come up and some come young
Live to love and give good tongue
Sit down, get down in the sun
Rocket to the woman is on the one

Well, I like dirt, well, I like dirt, well, I like dirt

The Earth is made of dirt and wood
And I'd be water if I could
Live in a dream in your stream
Live in a dream
Some come up and some come young
Live to love and give good tongue
Sit down, get down in the sun
Rocket to the woman is on the one

I like dirt, I like dirt
I like dirt, I like dirt

Some come slow and overload
Must roll over when you're told
Let's unzip and let's unfold
A letter to the pet better get it to go

Well, I like dirt, well, I like dirt, well, I like dirt

Space is made of everything
And I'd be fire that I bring
Live in a dream in your spring
Live in a dream

Some come slow and overload
Must roll over when you're told
Let's unzip and let's unfold
A letter to the pet better get it to go

I like dirt, I like dirt
I like dirt, I like dirt

Some come up and some come young
Live to love and give good tongue
Sit down, get down in the sun
Rocket to the woman is on the one

I like dirt, I like dirt
I like dirt, I like dirt

Some come up and some come young
Live to love and give good tongue
Sit down, get down in the sun
Rocket to the woman is on the one

its bout doin it oral ("..A letter to the pet better get it to go ..", meanin stroke his penis to get it to "go". and "...Live to love and girl good tongue..") but in the beginning u just think its bout nature. and the chorus seems like it fits in for a totally different song. so wat do we have here...the beginning - nature (havent figured the hidden meaning eyt) the chorus - about dirt the last verses - some sexual inuendo (some come slow and overload)

Well, anal sounds cool.... sureeeeee.... But my friend Brogan, who's this crazy little kid who acts like he's five, whenever he sings this song, we go "I like dirt! I like dirt!" and he goes, "So do worms! so do worms!" and we laugh our asses off for like 15 minutes. But ya, so about the anal. That makes sense, because WORMS like anal 2. You know, worms. PLEASE!

ok let me go be miss innocent but i think this song really is about..and forgive me for the cheesiness..being one with nature. the chilis, after all, are yoga-practicing vegeterians (ok, minus chad) who believe everyone should love each other. where u got the anal from, i can only wonder. oh and isn't it "give good tongue?"

Maybe not anal sex, but just sex in general. Think about it. What's a term to describe something that's full of sexual references? Does the word "dirty" ring a bell?

And yea, it is "give good tongue," which also begs for the interpretation of "dirty," as does just about every other line in this song.

Why is everyone always trying to prove that the guys in RHCP are gay?

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
