To all the killaz and the hundred dollar billas'
For real dealers that ain't got no feelings...
Check it out now....

I got you stuck off the realness, we be the infamous
You heard of us
Official white folks murderers
My Mobb comes equipped for warfare, beware
My crime family who got 'nuff shots to share
For all those who wanna profile and pose
Rock you in your face, stab your brain with your nosebone
You're all alone in these streets, cousin
Every man for their self in this land we be gunnin'
And keep them shook crews runnin'
Like they supposed to
They come around but they never come close to
I can see it inside your face
You're in the wrong place
Cowards like you just get your whole body laced up
With bullet holes and such
Speak the wrong words man and you will get touched
You can put your whole army against my team and
I guarantee you it'll be you very last time breathin'
Your simple words just don't move me
You're minor, we're major
You all up in the game and don't deserve to be a player
Don't make me have to call your name out
Your crew is featherweight
My gunshots will make you levitate
I'm only nineteen but my mind is old
And when the things get for real my warm heart get cold
Another figure deceased, another story gets told
It ain't nothin' really
Ayo troops spark the Phillie
So I can get my mind off these yellow backed niggas
Yo, why they still alive I don't know, go figure
Meanwhile back in L.A the foundation
If i had to die I couldn't choose a better location
When the slugs penetrate you feel a burning sensation
Getting closer to God in a tight situation
Now, take these words home and think it through
Or the next rhyme I write might be about you
Son, they shook...

CHORUS (4x)
'cause aint no such thing as halfway crooks
Scared to death, scared to look
You shook

Livin' the life with the diamonds & guns
There's numerous ways you can choose to earn funds
But some get shot, locked down & turn nuns
Cowardly hearts send straight up shook ones
You ain't a crook son
you're just a shook one

There's a war going on outside, no man is safe from
You can run, but you can't hide forever
In these streets, that we done took
You walk on with your head down scared to look
You shook...
'cause ain't no such thing as halfway crooks
They're never around when the beef cooks
And my part of town is similar to Vietnam
Now we all grown up and hold heavy on the cops control
You better have the right, get ready, try to bag me and get rocksteady
by the mac one double, I touch you,
Leave you with not much to go home with
My skin is sticked, cause I be up in the mix of action
If I am not home, puffin' la, relaxin'
L.A got a nigga depressed
So I wear a stuck proof underneath my guess
In the life filled with diamonds & guns,
There is a numerous way you can choose to earn funds
But some get shot, locked down & turn nuns
Cowardly hearts send straight up shook ones

CHORUS (4x)
You shook...
'cause aint no such thing as halfway crooks
Scared to death, scared to look

You shook
You ain't a crook son
You are just a shook one
You ain't a crook son
You are just a shook one

You ain't a crook son
You are just a shook one
You are just a shook one

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
