But my take is this:<br /> <br /> I think the girl is hung up on an old relationship and an old hurt. She is not trusting of her own feelings. I feel that in the lyrics, the guy may be somewhat antagonistic and "matter of fact like" with an implication that "SHE KNOWS HE IS FAKING", alluding to his belief that no matter what he does, she won't believe he is for real in what he says. <br /> <br /> "Do you think that I am blind, to everything you say and do" may, and I am using a similar experience, that the girl is inflective, and walls off, and can never be happy with what he gives her, because she can never trust herself or anything he tries to show her as real. Maybe she is fearful of being hurt again, so she projects!<br /> <br /> The whole gun thing, that is what makes me wonder... If it is about his mother then fine, but I am sure that the song has many interpretations. <br /> <br /> I think the succumbing bridge may refer to possibly either trusting, believing in what is in front of her, or getting out altogether.
