We the people fight for our existence
We don't claim to be perfect but we're free
We dream our dreams alone with no resistance
Fading like the stars we wish to be

You know I didn't mean what I just said
But my God woke up on the wrong side of his bed
And it just don't matter now

As little by little we gave you everything you ever dreamed of
Little by little the wheels of your life have slowly fallen off
Little by little you have to give it all in all your life
And all the time I just ask myself why you're really here?

True perfection has to be imperfect
I know that that sounds foolish but it's true
Day has come, now you'll have to accept
Life inside your head we give to you

You know I didn't mean what I just said
But my God woke up on the wrong side of his bed
And it just don't matter now

As little by little we gave you everything you ever dreamed of
Little by little the wheels of your life have slowly fallen off
Little by little you have to give it all in all your life
And all the time I just ask myself why you're really here?

As little by little we gave you everything you ever dreamed of
Little by little the wheels of your life have slowly fallen off
Little by little you have to give it all in all your life
And all the time I just ask myself why you're really here?

Why am I really here?
Why am I really here?

I was thinking it was about the working class and how they provide everything for the government but it is still falling apart, hence 'the wheels of your life have slowly fallen off'. This also explains why Noel used 'we' because he is speaking on behalf of a whole class. Other phrases back this as well such as 'we the people' and 'But my God woke up on the wrong side of his bed', which is a reference to how it isn't fair how the politicians who don't do anything are earning tens of thousands of pounds and the working class who 'give you everything you ever dreamed of', earn far less. Also, myself living in the North as did Noel, it is very clear that northern cities and towns get no where near the same funding that the south gets from the government and Noel is also referring to these hardships. Again, the government want us northerners to supply for them when we don't receive anything back.

I'm only 13 so this is my first time doing one of these kinds of forums so thanks for reading and please respond!!
