pain struck me with a cry
silent pictures passing on by
i apologize for
spinning words like tops on the floor
does this mean that i'm insincere
i've wasted thoughts unlike a spendthrift

sincerely i have lied to you
shamelessly i've made my point of view
carelessly sown circles must restart
i've stood on things that drown in the dark

white faced my mime's quite an act
turned justified acrobat
i realize oh
a star spangled canopy overhead
bury me in infamy
amazingly you cradle me

oh to blast my soul
the casket never knows
a dead man craves a life
why'd the rose pick his advice
danced a step for love
sent the worm to feed the dove
grasped at air sucked dry the sky
princely robe tore at my thigh
pity one who is a boy
when he cries at no such joy
pattern patched this quilt alive
burned the stitchwork from my eyes

i do see you hear you love you
see me hear me love me Jesus
love me Jesus love you Jesus
feed me all the way
Jesus

Author's comments (aaron wiederspahn, I believe): Hebrews 6:19-20-- So often as children we kick and scratch for our own foolish desire. We must learn that our way will fail us eventually, but we have a Father in Heaven who will hear our prayer. So let us seek Him while it is still called today.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
