Bob Dylan – Someone's Got a Hold of My Heart Lyrics 14 years ago
No comments at all?!?! I love this song! My fave line is 'never could learn to drink that blood and call it wine' - obviously a reference to taking Communion in church.

Bob Dylan – Ye Shall Be Changed Lyrics 14 years ago
I love this song! Yes, obviously this is about being broken and needing to find god - *sigh* - but it's
a great tune! One of the better songs covering this period on the Bootleg vols 1-3.

Bob Dylan – Oh, Sister Lyrics 14 years ago
Father = God. ('our father who art in heaven', being the obvious example of its use in church')
In some churches, they say that we are all brothers and sisters.

It doesn't LITERALLY mean sister! It means in the spiritual sense, we are all brothers and sisters and
all have the same father (not that I personally believe this for a second!)

Beautiful song.

Bob Dylan – Hurricane Lyrics 14 years ago
Lots of people on here are saying this is the best Bob Dylan song ever - I would say that it is not by a long shot and there are many, many Bob Songs that I like better than this one! I don't even think it's the best song on the album 'Desire', that would be 'One More Cup of Coffee'. Don't get me wrong, I love Bob and really like this tune but I think it's been rather over-hyped on here!

Sex Pistols – Bodies Lyrics 14 years ago
This song is so good, preferably played as loud as possible (bet my neighborus love me!)
It's obviously just meant to be a thought-provoking song about abortion - it's unplesant, it's messy, but
this song is neither pro or anti. At first it seems anti, but then you get to lines like 'fuck it all and fuck the fucking brat....I don't want a baby who looks like that' - brilliant!

Elton John – Daniel Lyrics 14 years ago
I always liked this song back in the 80s when I was a kid because my brother is called Daniel, and he is older than me (in my defence, I was under 10 years old!)

I still love this song, absolutely beautiful tune. I just thought it was simply about his brother moving to Spain, but all the comments on here about it being about a veteran have put it in an entirely new light!

Bob Dylan – One More Cup of Coffee (Valley Below) Lyrics 14 years ago
Amazing song! The Arabic influence is incredible, and pull's it off extremely well - I certainly can't sing like this and if I try to sing along it sounds like dreadful wailing (and I'm not a terrible singer, in general!)

This song is about a guy who falls in love with an uneducated, beautiful, mysterious, travelling gypsy who he is love with, but her commitment is to nature and her family and he knows he cannot hold onto her.

The Rolling Stones – Out Of Time Lyrics 14 years ago
I love this song!

Slightly wrong words - the first verse is 'you're out of touch my baby, my poor old-fashioned baby' (NOT discarded), and the second first should be 'you're obsolete my baby, my poor unfaithful baby', NOT old-fashioned!
