I think Florence is heavily influenced by fellow british female songwriter Kate Bush, and this song is a younger cousin/re-imagining of the track "Hounds of Love"..an alternative, punkier version. The meaning of that song was definetly about 'fear of love'. Not saying this is a rip-off, but think of it as a remake. xx |
